We lift our hearts together in prayer for America, standing on the truth of God’s Word as we intercede for our nation. The Scriptures remind us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." Father, we come before You, asking for Your divine wisdom to rest upon our leaders. Raise up men and women who profess Christ not only in word but in deed, that they may walk in godliness, humility, and obedience to Your will. Let their decisions reflect Your righteousness, and may they seek Your face above all else.
We also bring before You the dilemma facing our family in these turbulent times. The world around us grows increasingly chaotic, and it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the weight of current events. But Your Word assures us in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, we ask for clarity and discernment as we navigate these challenges. Help us to see beyond the confusion of the moment and to trust in Your sovereign plan. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Our deepest prayer is for the salvation of souls—for America and for the nations. Jesus declared in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." There is no lasting solution to the problems we face apart from a turning of hearts to You. We plead for a great awakening, that men and women would recognize their need for a Savior and surrender their lives to Christ. Let the Gospel penetrate every corner of our land, breaking chains of sin and bringing true freedom.
We also lift up those in our lives who are struggling under the oppression of darkness, even as they profess faith in You. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we stand on the authority of Jesus’ name to break every chain. In Mark 16:17, Jesus said, "These signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will cast out demons." We rebuke every spirit of deception, confusion, and torment in the lives of these dear ones. Lord, set them free by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Heal their minds, emotions, and behaviors, and restore them to wholeness in You.
Father, we confess our own struggle with impatience and frustration as we seek to bear with those who are bound. Your Word tells us in Galatians 6:2, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Help us to extend grace, just as You have extended grace to us. Teach us to love as You love, to be slow to anger, and quick to listen (James 1:19). Fill us with Your patience and compassion, that we may reflect Your heart to those around us.
We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your Church (Matthew 16:18). Strengthen us to stand firm in faith, to persevere in prayer, and to walk in the victory that is ours through Christ Jesus. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in America and in every nation, as it is in heaven.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
