We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family member who is in need of healing and support. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand over this dear one, touching every part of their body, mind, and spirit that is afflicted. Bring restoration, strength, and comfort in this time of trial.
Lord, we also ask that You would surround this family with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them the assurance that You are with them, that You hear their cries, and that You will never leave nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your perfect will, even when the path is difficult. Remind them that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and we stand firm in the truth that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We speak life, healing, and hope over this family, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Father, we also want to encourage this family to draw near to You in this season. Remind them to seek Your face through prayer, reading Your Word, and fellowship with other believers. Your Word says that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14). So we ask, Lord, that You would grant this healing according to Your will, and that Your name would be glorified through it all.
We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We thank You, Lord, for the gift of Your Son, and we trust in Your unfailing love and mercy. Amen.
