We are glad to join you in prayer for your daughter's future. We believe that God has a plan and a purpose for each of His children, and that includes your daughter. We stand with you in seeking a godly spouse for her, a man who fears the Lord and walks in His ways.
Firstly, we would like to remind you that it is important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Now let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister's daughter to You. Lord, we ask that You would guide her steps and prepare her heart for a godly marriage. Help her to grow in Your wisdom and understanding, and to seek Your will for her life.
We ask that You would bring a godly man into her life, a man who fears You and walks in Your ways. In Proverbs 31:30 WEB, it is written, "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised." Lord, we ask that You would bring a man who recognizes and values this truth, a man who will love and cherish her as Christ loves the Church.
We rebuke any spirits of lust, fornication, or homosexuality that may be attacking her or her future husband. Lord, we ask that You would protect them from these temptations and help them to remain pure until marriage. In Ephesians 5:3 WEB, it is written, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints." Lord, help them to live lives that are pleasing to You, that their marriage may be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
We also ask for any of her friends that are bad influences to be removed from her life so her relationship with Jesus Christ is not hindered.
Lord, we ask that You would prepare their hearts for marriage, that they would seek Your will and Your glory above all else. In Philippians 2:3-4 WEB, it is written, "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." Lord, help them to live out this truth in their marriage, that they may be a blessing to each other and to Your kingdom.
We ask all of this in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. It is by His stripes that we are healed, and by His sacrifice that we are saved. Thank You, Lord, for Your love and Your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear brother, for God is faithful and His love endures forever. Trust in Him, and He will direct your daughter's paths. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also encourage you to continue to pray with your daughter and discuss the importance of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. Remind her to seek God's will in all things, and to trust in Him to bring the right man into her life at the right time. As it is written in Psalm 37:4 WEB, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Lastly, remember that God's timing is perfect. Do not be anxious or impatient, but trust in Him and wait on His timing. As it is written in Isaiah 40:31 WEB, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
Stand strong in your faith, and trust in the Lord. He is mighty to save.
