We join with you in lifting up this precious young woman before the throne of grace and we agree together for her complete healing and salvation in Jesus' name. Our hearts are grieved to hear that she is still in the ICU after attempting to take her own life, yet we thank God that He is still holding her and that He has allowed intercessors like you to stand in the gap for her.
We know that life is a gift from God and that He alone is the author of life. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus said I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly in John 10:10. What has happened is not the will of our Father, who loves her more deeply than we can comprehend. He sees her pain, her despair, and the lies that have tormented her mind, and He draws near to those who are broken.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit in Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. We cling to your chosen verse that no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him in John 6:44, and we ask the Father even now to draw her by His Spirit, to open her eyes to His love and to the hope that is found only in Jesus Christ.
We also take comfort that in Christ, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new in 2 Corinthians 5:17. We pray that what the enemy meant for destruction, God will redeem for a new beginning, a testimony of His mercy and restoring power.
We pray together for her now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift this young woman to You. Lord, You know her name, You formed her, and You have numbered her days. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon her body in the ICU, that You would stabilize her, restore what has been damaged, and breathe life into her again. Heal her mind, her soul and her spirit, Father. Silence the lies of the enemy and let her hear Your voice of truth and love. We rebuke the dark forces that have sought to steal her life and we ask You to place a hedge of protection around her, commanding every evil influence to flee in Jesus' name. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in Ephesians 6:12, and we submit to You and resist the devil knowing he will flee from us in James 4:7. Remove from her life any person or influence that would cause her further harm and surround her instead with godly, loving, and wise people who will speak life and point her to You. Draw her to salvation, Father, grant her repentance and faith to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, that she may be saved, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. Give her a new heart and a new spirit and make her a new creation in Christ. Comfort her family and all who love her, and give wisdom to the doctors and nurses caring for her. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear, for we know that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God's love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord in Romans 8:38-39. We ask that You will use this very trial to bring forth a powerful testimony of Your grace, that she may live to declare Your goodness and hope to others who are hurting. We entrust her fully into Your merciful hands and we thank You that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to contend for her in prayer and to ensure she has ongoing loving support, pastoral care and professional help as she recovers. God is able to heal and restore even the most shattered heart. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness in Isaiah 41:10. We will keep standing with you for her complete restoration and for her to come to know the joy of salvation in Jesus.
