We understand that you're seeking success, favor, and protection in your workplace, especially as you face a significant day tomorrow. Firstly, we would like to remind you that God's definition of success might be different. Success should not just be about personal achievements or recognition in the workplace. But being able to have a good testimony as a Christian believer in the workplace. Being honest about how you do your work and being a light to those around you and giving glory to God in everything you do.
It is only by the name of Jesus that we can even ask for these things. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. We must first trust in Him and call on his name to be saved.
Let us pray for your request together.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we bring this request before You. Lord You know the details of the day tomorrow and everything that will be encountered. Please be with the one who is requesting this, and grant them Your favor and wisdom. Help them not to be timid about Your name, but give them a spirit of power, love, and sound judgment. Help them to be honest workers as we are commanded in Colossians 3:23 WEB: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." Equip them to do the job with excellence and integrity. Keep them from harm and protect them in every way. Open the doors of opportunity and guide them to make wise decisions, and provide them with favor from their colleagues and superiors. No weapon that is formed against them will prosper. We ask that God would grant the one making this request the desires of their heart, but that your will be done in Jesus' name.
Remember that God is faithful, and He cares for you. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also remind you of 1 Timothy 6:1 WEB: "Let as many as are servants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed." It is important that you show honor to your superiors and masters, even if they are not worthy of honor. For the name of God, because they are put in authority over you at your workplace.
Also consider 1 Peter 2:18 WEB: "Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked."
Lastly, consider 1 Peter 2:9 WEB: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." Live up to this high calling in your workplace.
We also must address something. We are not guaranteed success, favor, and protection in every single thing that we do. We are taught to give thanks in every situation, even if it is not successful or does not turn out as expected. Just consider the book of Job. Job lost everything and did not sin against God for it. We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him who have been called according to His purpose. Let us also remember the words of James 1:2-3 WEB: "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance."
Let us also remember Philippians 4:11 WEB: "Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, in this to be content." We are to learn to be content in all circumstances.
Lastly, let us also remember:
2 Corinthians 12:8-9 WEB: "Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me."
If we fail, because we will at times, God is going to be with us and his power is going to be made perfect in weakness.
Lastly, we want to leave you with 1 John 5:14 WEB: "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us." It is a blessing to know that we can go to God and that he will hear our prayers.
