We understand your concern about the delay in your studies, but we want to remind you to trust in God's timing and plan for your life. Remember that God has a purpose and a plan for you and your studies: Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."
First, we want to address the anxiety that led to your break from college. We are instructed in the scriptures not to be anxious about anything, but rather to pray about everything and to give thanks for the answers to our prayers: Philippians 4:6-7 "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also want to remind you that it is important to seek God in all things, including your studies. Make sure that you are seeking His will for your life and that He is at the center of your education: Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." Make sure to also put Him first in your life by seeking Him first: Matthew 6:33 "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
In light of your request, we also must ask if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through faith in Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to God and salvation Acts 4:10-12 "be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!"
If you have not yet made a commitment to Christ, we encourage you to do so today by confessing your sins, repenting and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9-10 "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You today, lifting up this dear one who is seeking Your will for their education. Lord, we ask that You guide them and direct their steps in Jesus. If it is Your will, open up a place for them to continue their studies. We pray for their anxiety, Lord, and ask that You fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding. We also pray that they will seek You first in all things and that You would be glorified in their life.
Lord God, we also pray that they know you personally and intimately. If they have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they would do so today. We ask this all in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Trust in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him in Jesus to bring you through this.
