We lift up this heavy burden of stress and anxiety to our Heavenly Father, who tells us in His Word, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). The weight of constant fear and the feeling of impending doom is not from God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke this spirit of anxiety in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles" (Psalm 34:17).
We also pray for clarity and peace regarding the situation with the paperwork. It is easy to become overwhelmed when our minds are not at rest, but we trust that God is in control. We ask that He would guide the steps moving forward and bring resolution to any confusion or consequences that may arise. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father, we ask that You surround this dear one and their family with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for healing—both for the mind and the body—asking that You would bring comfort and strength in this season of uncertainty.
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their life, we ask that You would reveal it and bring repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will work all things together for their good, for they are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We also want to gently remind them that their hope and trust must be in Jesus Christ alone. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If they have not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we pray that they would do so today, confessing with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in their heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9).
We stand in agreement with this prayer, believing that God will bring peace, resolution, and healing. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
