We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. It's important to remember that God desires for you and your spouse to have a loving, peaceful, and harmonious relationship. In Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB, the Bible outlines the roles of husbands and wives, encouraging love, submission, and respect. Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this strained marriage. We know that You hate divorce, and we ask for Your intervention and healing in their relationship. Please help them to forgive each other for any hurtful words or actions, and to communicate in a way that honors and respects each other.
Lord, we also ask for Your provision and guidance in their financial struggles. We pray that You would give them wisdom to manage their finances and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory.
Holy Spirit, help them to be humble and patient with each other, bearing with one another in love. Remind them of Your unfailing love and grace, and help them to extend that same love and grace to each other.
We also pray for spiritual unity and growth. Jesus should be the center of the marriage and each spouse should fear God and have a personal relationship with Jesus. They should be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. They should put on the whole armor of God and stand against the devil.
Father, we ask for Your will to be done in their lives and marriage, and we trust in Your power to heal and restore. We pray that they would seek You first, and that their marriage would be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or bitterness that may be causing tension in this marriage. We speak peace, unity, and love over their relationship. Please remind them to pray together for all things and to be thankful for each other and their marriage.
Again, it is only in the name of Jesus that we can approach God. It is also only by Jesus that a marriage can be held together supernaturally. We ask for all of this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage both of you to spend time together in God's Word, seeking His will for your marriage. Remember that "two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB).
