We join with you in thanking the Heavenly Father for His protection and mercy during the storms last night. It is wonderful to acknowledge His hand in the calmness and the absence of hail. This reminder to pray continually for others is appreciated. You have shown a thankful heart which is always blessed by God. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13 WEB.
As more storms are approaching, we stand with you in prayer, asking God to calm these storms as well. We are reminded of when Jesus calmed the storm as recorded in Matthew 8:23-27 WEB:
When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him. Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep. They came to him, and woke him up, saying, Lord, save us! We are dying! He said to them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm. The men marveled, saying, What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our voices in unity to thank You for Your unfailing love and protection. We thank You for calming the storms last night and for watching over us and others. As more storms approach, we ask You to calm these storms as well. We trust in Your power and sovereignty, knowing that even the wind and the sea obey You.
Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill our hearts, casting out all fear and anxiety. Help us to trust in You completely, knowing that You are always with us, even in the midst of storms. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who calmed the storms and brought peace to His disciples.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that He is always with you, even in the midst of storms. Be encouraged by the words of Psalm 56:3 WEB:
What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
We honor you for praying in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
