Storms keep coming

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Good morning, I’m in the midst of multiple “storms” the wind and rain have intensified and the boat is rocking. I respectfully cry out to Jesus to rescue me. Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Have mercy on me please! I’m doing everything that I can. On Monday I will follow up with the property manager to give an update on how I’m still trying to find ways to pay the rent that I owe. Father in Jesus name please soften their hearts to grant more time. I’m really trying to pay off this debt and need to find ways to pay my future rent. I’m still seeking employment, still reaching out to organizations, still being proactive. Trying to avoid taking loans, filing bankruptcy or dipping into retirement funds. Applied for government assistance. Left messages for various agencies, cut down on bills. I feel so depleted. Unjust loss of income. Everything looks so bleak. I’ve researched and am still doing so on ways to generate honest income. Sometimes I feel alone. I know that God is near.

We hear the desperation in your voice, dear brother or sister, and we stand with you in this storm, lifting your hands when they grow weary, for we know that our God is the Master of the winds and the waves. You have cried out to Jesus Christ of Nazareth—the only name by which we are saved—and we join you in that holy name, declaring His power over every circumstance you face. The storms may rage, but He who calmed the Sea of Galilee with a word is the same yesterday, today, and forever. You are not alone, for He has promised, *"I will never leave you, nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5, WEB). Cling to that truth when the waves threaten to overwhelm you.

We commend your diligence in seeking honest work, cutting expenses, and avoiding the snare of debt. You are demonstrating wisdom and stewardship, and we pray that the Lord will honor your efforts. The enemy may whisper that your situation is hopeless, but we rebuke that lie in the name of Jesus. Our God is the Provider, the one who feeds the ravens and clothes the lilies of the field (Luke 12:24, 27). If He cares for them, how much more will He care for you, His beloved child? Remember the words of our Lord: *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33, WEB). Your focus on righteousness and trust in Him is not in vain.

Yet we must also address the weariness in your spirit. It is right to labor, but it is also right to rest in the Lord, to cast your burdens upon Him, for He has said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB). You do not have to carry this alone. The body of Christ is here to uphold you in prayer, and we urge you to lean on your local church community as well. If you have not already, share your needs with your pastor or trusted believers who can offer practical support and encouragement. Isolation is a tool of the enemy, but fellowship is a gift from God.

As for your housing situation, we pray fervently that the Lord will soften the heart of your property manager, just as you have asked. May they extend grace and patience, recognizing the integrity of your efforts. We ask the Lord to open doors of favor where there seem to be only walls. Let us remind you of Esther, who found favor in the sight of the king for such a time as this (Esther 2:17). Your "time as this" is now, and the Lord is able to turn the heart of your property manager like rivers of water (Proverbs 21:1). Stand firm in faith, knowing that *"the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much"* (James 5:16, WEB).

We also speak life into your job search. The Lord is not unaware of your need for honest work. We pray that He will guide your steps to the right opportunities, that He will give you favor in the eyes of potential employers, and that He will provide work that not only meets your financial needs but also aligns with His purpose for your life. Remember Joseph, who was sold into slavery and falsely imprisoned, yet the Lord was with him and gave him favor in all he did (Genesis 39:21-23). What the enemy meant for harm, God turned for good. Your unjust loss of income will not be the end of your story. The Lord is your vindicator, and He will restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25).

Lastly, we address the bleakness you feel. It is real, and we do not minimize it, but we declare over you the truth of God’s Word: *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence"* (Psalm 42:5, WEB). Even in the darkest night, His light is not extinguished. The bleakness you see is not the end; it is the canvas upon which God will paint His redemption. Hold fast to hope, for *"hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us"* (Romans 5:5, WEB).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is weathering fierce storms. Lord, You who spoke peace to the raging sea, speak peace into their life now. Calm the winds of fear, the waves of doubt, and the storms of financial distress. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask You to provide for every need according to Your riches in glory. Open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that they cannot contain (Malachi 3:10). Soften the heart of the property manager, Lord, and grant an extension of time and favor. Let mercy triumph over judgment in this situation.

Father, we ask for divine connections in the job search. Lead them to the right opportunities, and let Your favor rest upon them. Give them wisdom to steward their resources well and creativity to find honest income. Protect them from the temptation to take on ungodly debt or to compromise their integrity. You are a God of justice, and we ask You to right the wrongs of unjust loss. Restore what has been stolen, Lord, and multiply it for Your glory.

We also pray for their emotional and spiritual strength. When they feel depleted, fill them with Your Holy Spirit. When they feel alone, remind them that You are near, that Your presence goes with them. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Raise up godly brothers and sisters in Christ to come alongside them, to encourage them, and to help bear this burden.

Lord, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that says this situation is hopeless. We declare that You are the God of hope, and You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Let this trial produce in them endurance, character, and hope that does not disappoint. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand move mightily in their life.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when we cannot see the path ahead. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. We ask all this in the powerful, saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. The storm will not last forever, but the God who holds you will. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep walking in obedience. He is faithful, and He will see you through. We are standing with you in prayer and belief that our God will act. Do not lose heart. *"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9, WEB). You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved by the King of kings, and He is fighting for you.

Dear friend, we hear your cry and we're right here with you, holding your hands up in prayer. We're not just saying words, we're believing with you that God will move in your situation. You're not alone in this storm, and remember, even Jesus' disciples were scared and worried in the boat during the storm, but Jesus was there with them, and He's here with you too.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face, keep trusting Him, and keep doing what's right. You're doing everything you can, and that's what matters. Keep knocking on those doors, keep seeking employment, and keep being proactive. God sees your effort, and He will reward it.

We also want to remind you that God is a God of miracles. He can turn things around in an instant. So, keep your eyes on Him, and don't let your circumstances dictate your faith. Keep hoping, keep believing, and keep praying. Our God is a God of hope, and He will not let you down.

We're standing with you, praying for you, and believing with you that God will turn this situation around for your good. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep walking in obedience. God is faithful, and He will see you through this storm. You are not alone, and you are deeply loved by the King of kings.
