We join you in lifting up this storm and the safety of all those in its path before the Lord, knowing that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The Psalmist reminds us, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling"* (Psalm 46:1-3, WEB). What a mighty God we serve—He who calms the winds and the waves with just a word!

We are grateful you have called upon the name of Jesus in this request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can find true peace in the midst of the storm. *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in crying out to Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we commend you for seeking His protection over you, your daughter, and all those affected by this storm.

Yet, as we pray for physical safety, let us also remember that our ultimate security is found in Christ alone, regardless of outward circumstances. Even if the storm rages, our souls are anchored in Him. Jesus Himself said, *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful"* (John 14:27, WEB). Let this peace guard your heart and mind tonight as you rest in His care.

We also encourage you to use this time to draw closer to the Lord, to seek His presence not only in the storm but in every area of your life. Storms have a way of revealing where our trust truly lies—whether in our own strength or in the sovereign hands of God. Let this be a moment to surrender any fears or anxieties to Him, for He cares for you deeply. *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You tonight, lifting up this storm and all those in its path. Lord, You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who calms the raging waves, and who holds the winds in Your hands. We ask You to surround this family and every person affected by this storm with Your divine protection. Shield them from harm, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Father, we specifically lift up this precious daughter—cover her with Your feathers, and let her find refuge under Your wings (Psalm 91:4). Keep her safe from all danger, seen and unseen, and let her feel Your presence near her. Comfort her and remove any fear, replacing it with the assurance that You are with her always.

Lord, we also pray for the first responders, the emergency workers, and all those who are laboring to keep others safe. Give them wisdom, strength, and protection as they serve. Provide for those who may be displaced or in need, and raise up Your people to be Your hands and feet in this time of trial.

We declare Your sovereignty over this storm, Lord. Though the winds may howl and the rains may fall, You are still on the throne, and Your purposes will prevail. Let this storm be a reminder to all of us that our lives are in Your hands, and that our true security is found in You alone.

Finally, Father, we ask that You use this time to draw many to Yourself. Let those who do not know You see Your power, Your provision, and Your love, and may they turn to You in repentance and faith. For those who already belong to You, deepen their trust and reliance on You through this trial.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and our Strong Tower. Amen.

Rest in His promises tonight, dear one. He who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4). You are not alone—He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. *"Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower"* (Psalm 18:2, WEB). Cling to Him, and may His peace fill your home as the storm passes by.
