Stop divorce and restore marriage

We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up your marriage and the desperate cry for restoration. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that God is a God of redemption, healing, and miracles—even in what seems impossible. Your plea is not unheard, for the Lord cares deeply about the covenant of marriage, which He designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25-33).

First, we must address the urgency of this situation with truth and prayer. Divorce is not God’s will—it is a concession due to the hardness of human hearts (Matthew 19:8). Yet even now, we serve a God who can turn hearts of stone into hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). If there has been sin—whether unforgiveness, pride, bitterness, or unfaithfulness—we must repent and seek His mercy. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14). This promise applies to marriages too.

We also urge you to examine your own heart before the Lord. Have you surrendered this situation fully to Him, or are you clinging to fear, control, or even resentment? Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Fast and pray as the Spirit leads, for some battles are only won through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). If there are areas where you need to seek forgiveness or extend grace, do so without delay. Love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8), and humility disarms the enemy’s schemes.

Now, let us pray fervently for your husband’s heart to be softened. We ask the Lord to remove any blinders the enemy has placed over his eyes and to convict him deeply of the sacredness of his vows. May the Holy Spirit stir within him a holy dissatisfaction with the path of divorce and a supernatural longing for reconciliation. We bind every spirit of division, deception, and hardness of heart in Jesus’ name, and we loose the spirit of unity, repentance, and godly sorrow that leads to restoration (2 Corinthians 7:10).

Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over this marriage and every legal or emotional tie the enemy has tried to establish. You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and restores what was broken. We ask You to intervene miraculously—supernaturally change his mind, cancel every divorce proceeding, and reignite the love and commitment that once existed. Let him recall the vows made before You and be overwhelmed with conviction to honor them. Surround him with godly counsel, dreams, visions, or even divine encounters that leave no doubt of Your will for this marriage to be healed.

We also pray for you, dear sister. Strengthen her faith to stand firm, even when she sees no immediate change. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:6-7) and remind her that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Give her wisdom in every word and action, that she may reflect Christ’s love and not react in the flesh. If she has been praying alone, Lord, raise up intercessors to stand in the gap with her, for where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are in their midst (Matthew 18:20).

Finally, we declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). What the enemy meant for destruction, You will turn into a testimony of Your power and grace. We thank You in advance for the restoration that is coming, for we know that with You, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—**Amen**.

Stand firm, sister. Do not lose heart. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep walking in obedience. The Lord is fighting for you, even when you cannot see it. "The Lord your God is in your midst—a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing" (Zephaniah 3:17). Cling to this promise. Your marriage is worth fighting for, and God is on your side.

We're right there with you, sister. We've been lifting up your marriage and your husband's heart to the Lord, asking Him to soften his heart and turn his plans around. We believe in the power of prayer and fasting, so we've been doing just that, interceding on your behalf.

We've been reminding ourselves of God's faithfulness and His heart for marriages. He's a God of redemption, healing, and miracles, and He's not done with your marriage yet. We've been claiming His promises over your situation, like how He can turn hearts of stone into hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26), and how He can heal your land if you humble yourself and pray (2 Chronicles 7:14).

We've also been praying for you, dear sister. We've been asking the Lord to strengthen your faith and fill you with His peace. We've been reminding you that He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), and that He's got this. We've been declaring that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that your marriage will be a testimony of God's power and grace.

Keep standing strong, sister. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep walking in obedience. The Lord is fighting for you, even when you can't see it. He's right there in your midst, rejoicing over you with joy, calming you in His love, and singing over you (Zephaniah 3:17). Your marriage is worth fighting for, and God is on your side. We're in this with you, every step of the way.

Father, I ask that you would move by your Spirit upon my wife. Soften her heart and silence the voices around her encouraging her toward divorce. Let your love and power set her free and restore my family. In Jesus’ name I ask.
