Still Seeking Employment

Gwautarian

Disciple of Prayer
I have been unemployed since ###/###. I am still looking for a job and no leads. I am starting to wonder if God is real. Is He there. I’m wondering if I should put my house up for sale. I don’t know where to go and my credit is shot. I’m a believer in Jesus Christ and received the Holy Ghost. I know the Word. It just seems like none of these things are working. Please pray for ###.

We hear the deep struggle in your heart, and we stand with you in this season of waiting and uncertainty. The weight of unemployment, financial strain, and the temptation to question God’s presence is heavy—we do not take that lightly. But we want to remind you, beloved, that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your faith in Jesus Christ is not in vain, and the Holy Spirit within you is a seal of God’s promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

First, let us rebuke the lie that God is not real or that He has abandoned you. The enemy would love for you to doubt His faithfulness, especially when circumstances feel overwhelming. But Scripture declares, *"For I know the plans I have for you,” says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.'"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Your current struggle does not negate His goodness or His promises. We must hold fast to the truth that God is working even when we cannot see it.

Now, let us address the practical concerns with wisdom and faith. Selling your home is a significant decision, and we encourage you to seek godly counsel before moving forward. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Have you spoken with trusted believers, financial advisors, or even your church leadership about this step? The Lord often provides direction through the wisdom of others.

As for your job search, we pray that the Lord would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We declare that your skills, experience, and diligence will not go unnoticed. Let us ask the Father to guide your steps and lead you to the right opportunity. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* (Psalm 37:5-6). Keep pressing forward in prayer and action—God honors perseverance.

We also want to gently address the mention of your credit being "shot." While financial hardship is real, we must guard our hearts against despair. The Lord is your provider, and He can restore what has been lost. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This does not mean He will always give us what we want, but He will sustain us in our need.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother in Christ, lifting up his need for employment and financial provision. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can close. Provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory. Strengthen his faith when doubt creeps in, and remind him of Your unfailing love. Father, if selling his home is Your will, make the path clear. If not, provide another way. We rebuke the spirit of fear and declare that Your peace will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give him wisdom, patience, and perseverance as he seeks You in this season. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Beloved, we encourage you to keep standing on the Word of God. Meditate on Scriptures that speak to His provision, faithfulness, and sovereignty. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. And remember, even when the road is difficult, Jesus is with you. He is the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will not let you be shaken. Keep trusting Him.

We hear you, dear friend, and we're right here with you in this journey. It's tough, we know, feeling like you're in a holding pattern, wondering if God's still on His throne. But remember, even in the darkest nights, the stars still shine, and God is still God. He hasn't moved, and He hasn't forgotten you.

We've been where you are, feeling the weight of uncertainty, the strain of finances, and the whispers of doubt. But let's silence those whispers together, shall we? God is real, and He's right there with you. He's not a distant, unfeeling deity. He's your Father, and He loves you more than you can comprehend.

Now, let's talk about this house thing. It's a big decision, and we're not going to tell you what to do. But we will remind you of something Jesus said, "For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost?" (Luke 14:28). It's wise to seek counsel, talk to trusted friends, maybe even your pastor or a financial advisor. God often speaks through the wisdom of others.

And while we're talking about it, let's not forget to pray. We're praying with you, that God would open doors you never even knew existed. We're asking Him to guide your steps, to lead you to the right opportunity, and to give you the wisdom to know when to walk through those doors.

We also want to encourage you, dear one. Your credit might be shot, but your worth isn't defined by numbers. God sees you, and He's your provider. He can restore what's been lost, and He's promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Keep trusting Him, even when it's hard.

So, let's keep standing on the promises of God, shall we? Let's keep praying, keep seeking, and keep trusting. Because even when we can't see it, God is working. He's got this, friend. He's got you.

Thank you for praying and for you responding. I don’t have any family or friends to reach out to. I’m all alone. If the Lord doesn’t come through all is lost.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your request in our hearts these past days. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you before the throne of grace, lifting up your need for employment and the weight of uncertainty that has pressed upon your spirit. We have prayed specifically for doors to open—doors of opportunity, provision, and clarity—as you seek God’s direction in this season.

We understand the struggle when answers seem delayed, and the questions that rise when the path ahead feels unclear. But we also hold fast to the truth that God is real, He is near, and He has not forgotten you. Even in the silence, He is working. We have asked the Lord to strengthen your faith, to remind you of His promises, and to renew your hope as you wait on Him.

If you have received a breakthrough—whether in the form of a job lead, unexpected provision, or even just a fresh sense of peace—we would be overjoyed to celebrate with you. Please share your praise so we can rejoice together! If the wait continues, we want to keep standing with you. Do not hesitate to post this request again so we may continue lifting you up in prayer.

Above all, we pray that you would feel the Father’s love wrapping around you, that you would sense His presence in the midst of the unknown, and that He would guide your steps—whether that means staying the course, adjusting your plans, or trusting Him with the sale of your home. You are not alone in this, and we believe God has a purpose and a provision for you.

May He meet you in your need, renew your strength, and lead you into His perfect will. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.

I should not have even spoke about selling my home! I curse those words to the ground and they will never bear fruit. The Lord gave me this home and he will sustain it. Like the Shunnamite woman who God gave a son and he died- I say it is well! God’s gifts have no shadow of turning! He didn’t bring me this far to leave me! Like Abraham who was asked to sacrifice the promise- I put all God has given me on the altar- my home and I believe he has ram in the thicket! As Abraham said, the Lord himself shall provide a lamb- he told the servants he and the lad would return! I DECLARE I will not be forced to sell my home! The Lord will come through!

Thank you for standing with me.
I’m still looking for a job and GOD IS FAITHFUL!!
