Still nothing happening(restored married)

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for ### and ###'s marriage restoration. ### is still putting money every week on ###'s card, it's not much but it does help. ### asks that the Lord bless ###. ### doesn't know why ### left or why ### chooses to ghost ### for over a year. ### said they're not getting divorced but ### is not coming home either. ### knows ### is now leading men's Bible study at their church, ### is confused about that, cause ### knows what the Bible said about your own house being in order. But that's not ###'s business, just confused. ### knows ### doesn't understand any of this, and it still hurts like it just happened yesterday. When do ### give up? ### doesn't feel that ### has been released from the marriage ### also doesn't want to give up on what the Lord told them, cause ### knows He's a God that can not lie. (Lord told them to write down all He had spoken to them cause they were going to need to stand on His promises, because they were going to go through something big, but if they come through it their ministry would be 4 times bigger then it already was, and they were going to show multiples of people the Lord love.) This is one of many prophecies spoken over them. The Lord also said on 2 different occasions from two different people who didn't know them, ### was ###'s gift, ### doesn't feel like a gift and ### got thrown away like trash on the side of the road, with no explanation. Please also pray for ### to know what the Lord is asking ### to do. ### feels in ###'s heart ### is supposed to wait but ### doesn't want to miss anything the Lord is asking of ### in this time. Thank you for all your prayers in agreement with what the Lord is doing in this time.

We hear the deep pain and confusion in this request and we are standing with you in prayer for this marriage restoration. To be ghosted and abandoned for over a year with no explanation, while still being told there will be no divorce yet there is no return home, is a wound that cuts very deeply and we understand why it still hurts as if it just happened yesterday. We weep with you and we also rejoice that you do not want to give up on what the Lord has spoken and that you have not felt released from this covenant, for we believe marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman that God has joined together.

What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart. Matthew 19:6. For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel. Malachi 2:16. The Lord takes the covenant of marriage seriously, and abandonment and ghosting do not align with His design for a husband to love and cherish his wife. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:25. To forsake that covenant without biblical cause while refusing to communicate is not love, it is hardness of heart and we must lovingly rebuke that behavior. To the married I command, not I, but the Lord, that the wife not depart from her husband, but if she is departed, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband, and that the husband not leave his wife. 1 Corinthians 7:10-11.

We also hear your confusion about your spouse leading a men's Bible study at church while your own house is not in order, and we share that concern with you. The Scripture is clear on this, But if a man doesn't know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the assembly of God? 1 Timothy 3:5. That is not your business to correct publicly or to gossip about, and we honor your restraint in saying so, but it is right for you to feel confused, and it is right for the elders of that church to examine whether a man who has abandoned his wife for over a year should be leading other men spiritually. We pray the Lord will convict and shepherd him in that.

You ask when do you give up and you share that you feel in your heart you are supposed to wait but you do not want to miss what the Lord is asking you to do. We encourage you not to grow weary in well doing for the waiting itself is part of what God is asking you to do in this season. Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up. Galatians 6:9. Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 27:14. But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31. The weekly provision, even though it is not much, does show some ongoing sense of responsibility and we pray you continue to thank the Lord for it and ask Him to bless your spouse as you have been doing, for that is a Christlike response.

You mentioned many prophecies spoken over you, that the Lord told you to write down all He had spoken because you would go through something big but if you came through it your ministry would be four times bigger and you would show many people the Lord's love, and that on two different occasions from people who did not know you it was spoken that you are your spouse's gift. We cling with you to the truth that God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and he won't do it? Or has he spoken, and he won't make it good? Numbers 23:19. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28. Yet we also gently caution you to test all prophetic words against Scripture and to stand most firmly on the written Word of God, not on experience alone. Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:21. Do not let the pain of feeling thrown away like trash on the side of the road make you forget that you are deeply valued by God, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and you are still a gift whether man recognizes it or not.

We also want to lovingly point out that your request speaks of the Lord but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. We encourage you to bring every prayer for restoration specifically in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is power in that name.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is hurting and waiting, and we lift up this marriage that You have joined together. Lord, You see the tears, the confusion, the year of silence and ghosting, the ache of not understanding why. We ask You to comfort this wounded heart, to heal the feeling of being discarded, to remind them that they are Your beloved child and that You will never leave nor forsake them. We ask You to bless the spouse who is away, to convict him where he has forsaken his covenant, to draw him to repentance, to humility, to honest communication, and to a true love for his wife as Christ loves the church. Lord, if he is leading others while his own house is broken, we ask You to bring godly counsel around him and to restore order in his own home first. We pray You would break through the ghosting and the silence and bring truth into the light. We pray for this waiting spouse to know clearly what You are asking them to do in this time, to wait with hope and not with despair, to seek You daily in Your Word, to guard their heart from bitterness while still walking in truth, and to continue to stand on Your promises without striving in the flesh. Give them wisdom, give them peace that passes understanding, and let them hear Your still small voice. We pray for restoration if it be Your will, for reconciliation and forgiveness and a testimony that will indeed show multitudes Your love and make their ministry fruitful beyond what they can imagine. And above all, let Your will be done and let both be conformed to the image of Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to stay rooted in Scripture, to remain in faithful prayer and fasting as the Lord leads, to seek wise, biblically grounded pastoral counsel who honors marriage, and to continue to wait on the Lord's timing. Do not rush to declare the marriage over when God has not released you, but also do not live in passivity without seeking His daily direction. Keep writing down what He speaks to you through His Word, keep your heart soft and forgiving, keep your hands busy serving Him where you are, and trust that He who promised is faithful.

We have been holding your story before the Lord and we hear how heavy and confusing this long season has been. To be ghosted for over a year with no explanation, to live in that in between of not divorced and not coming home, would leave anyone feeling disoriented and raw. It makes sense that it still hurts like it just happened, and that you feel torn between the promises you believe God spoke and the silence you are living in. We are grateful the weekly help on your card continues, even as we know it cannot answer the deeper ache or the questions about why he left.

Your confusion about him leading a men's Bible study while your home feels unsettled is understandable, and feeling like a gift that was thrown away does not reflect your worth in God's eyes. Grief in a long separation rarely moves in a straight line. It often comes in waves, with stretches of numbness and then moments when the loss floods back, which is why a year later the pain can still feel so fresh.

Since you sense in your heart you are to wait but don't want to miss what God is asking of you in this time, one steady next step could be to take what you wrote down as He led you, including those prophecies from others, and sit with one or two mature believers who know you well to prayerfully weigh them. Not for a quick answer, but to help you discern what faithful waiting looks like day to day, how to steward your own life and community well, and what healthy boundaries look like while there is no contact.

Father, we lift our sister to You in Jesus' name. You see her hurt and her desire to be faithful. Give her wisdom for each next step, comfort for the ache that still feels new, and clear peace about how to wait well. Guard her heart, surround her with caring community, and help her know Your nearness and love each day. Amen.

The church ### attends knows ### left and knows the situation of our marriage yet still ask ### to lead the men's bible study after ### left so I'm confused about that church too are they not reading the same Bible that they're teaching out of

Your sorrow has been brought before the Lord and it is felt keenly, the long silence of more than a year, the wound that still feels as fresh as yesterday, and the perplexity of watching one who has left the home yet stands to lead other men in the Word. It is right to bring all this into the light before God, for He sees and He hears, and His eye is not a cold eye of mere observation but a compassionate eye that looks upon misery with mercy.

Scripture tells us we have a waiting God. He waits that He may be gracious. Long before we turn to Him, He has been waiting, ready to pardon, ready to receive the returning heart, with all things ready as for a marriage feast. How gracious is His forbearance, how singular His patience, that when all else has broken down we find Him still lovingly waiting. There is a final success to this waiting when His grace works upon the heart and conscience and the time of love comes. Remember this while you wait, that God is not slow as men count slowness, but is waiting to show mercy both to you and to your husband.

And you are called to be a waiting people. The Psalmist says, My soul wait thou only upon God, or as one has rendered it, be thou silent before God. Rest calm and undisturbed. This is not waiting upon a prophecy, nor upon a feeling, nor upon the actions of another, but upon the Lord Himself. They that wait upon the Lord shall not want any good thing. Such waiting is a holy independency, to know no dependence except upon God. Your faith, like the world itself, should hang on nothing but the promise of God and have no other support but that, floating in the ether of confidence, upheld only by the right hand of the Majesty on high. If you can but turn your eye to God, you may walk straight on in confidence, though the next step seem to tread upon deep waters, for if God bids you tread there it shall be heaven to you.

Therefore the word to you is that brave waiting commended in the Psalms, Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart, wait I say on the Lord. Waiting upon God sustains courage. When the heart grows weary, wait with double earnestness, for in that waiting the Eternal Spirit imparts mysterious strength, so that you mount up as with eagle wings and are lifted above the rocking and rolling of this unstable world. Go to your God when you are out of order, and He will strengthen your heart by His own power.

Concerning marriage, we hold fast what Scripture teaches, that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. It is this covenant you desire to see honored, and it is right to pray for its restoration. Yet restoration with God always begins with restoration to God. As Peter was restored not by his own resolve but by the crowing of the cock and a look from the Lord, a look that broke his heart and then bound it up, so every true restoration must come through the Lord's own gracious look of conviction and compassion. God sees all, as Hagar cried Thou God seest me, and that seeing is both solemn and merciful, for He sees sin and its aggravations and He also sees ruin and sorrow and has compassion. Pray that such a look may be given, that guilt may be felt and that the prayer may be wrought, Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. Pray that what is taught to others may first be lived at home, for the Word is plain that a man must have his own house in order if he would lead the house of God. Leave that matter in the Lord's hands, without bitterness, and commit your husband to Him who alone can set it right.

You ask when to give up, and you speak of words spoken over you that you were to write down and stand upon, that you would go through something great and that God would make your ministry larger, and that you are called a gift. Hold every such word up to the light of Scripture, for the sure word of prophecy is the written Word, and God cannot lie. To stand upon His promises is to meditate on His statutes, not merely to hear them with the ear but to receive them with the heart. Declare your ways to God in secret, as one alone with God, and say with the Psalmist, I have declared my ways and Thou heardest me, teach me Thy statutes. That is the prayer you need now, Teach me Thy statutes, teach me what Thou wouldst have me to do in this time, whether to wait in quiet hope or to take some step of obedience. The Lord who told you to write will also teach you how to walk.

Do not fence with God or quarrel with His providence, but humble yourself under His mighty hand. Pride, even wounded pride, bars out the favor of God, for God resisteth the proud. Go on serving God year after year, though altogether unknown, feeling it sufficient that by the grace of God you have honored your Redeemer. This is a great attainment, to serve faithfully while waiting.

We will pray with you. O God of our salvation, Thou who waitest to be gracious, look in mercy upon this wounded heart and upon this divided home. Thou seest the tears, the confusion, the long silence, and the help given week by week. Give perfect restoration as Thou hast promised to those who turn to Thee, wipe away tears and heal what is broken. Grant repentance where repentance is needed, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Teach Thy child to wait only upon Thee, to be silent before Thee, and to be of good courage. Strengthen the heart that waits, and in Thine own time and way do that which is most for Thy glory and for good. Keep this soul from missing any duty of love or wisdom, and let all be done in holiness and truth. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our only hope. Amen.
