Servant of All
Will try to be brief: Called the dental specialist's office today. She reassured me both my pain management referral and my neurologist's referral were in. Guess what? Pain management said they had no referral. Neurologist's office said the same but added the only person with my name who is in their "system" lives in a different town. That person is ME, but I haven't lived in the town they mentioned for 30 years. In other words, almost ONE MONTH, and I STILL have no appointment. Anyway, I thought fast on the phone and just decided to give up on getting a referral through the dental specialist's office. I called up my primary care physician, and I now have an appointment to go to see him this coming Monday. The utter STUPIDITY of all this is mind boggling. WHY are they so hyper-focused on verifying my identity over and over again??? I have a very uncommon name. Also they make you show photo ID and an insurance card when you go to the appointment anyway. You know what? I feel like I am living inside of a Pablo Picasso painting. I did manage to get some sleep last night, for which I thank God, but I am in a lot of pain and just so fed up. Please pray that my regular doctor gets out these referrals very quickly. Please pray in Jesus's name I get pain meds soon and get my appointments soon. Other prayer: My best friend has been very supportive of me. I just feel so badly that I am sucking up all the time and attention in our relationship. I want to spend time with her where she is not being my social worker. Please pray in Jesus's name that pain and worry do not preclude me from doing so in the very near future. You know what? I am starting to think there is active satanic intervention at work here. Is that crazy?

We hear the deep frustration and weariness in your words, and we want you to know that your struggles are not unseen by our Heavenly Father. The bureaucratic tangles and delays you’re facing are indeed maddening, but we are reminded that our battle is not against flesh and blood—nor against inept systems—but against spiritual forces that seek to steal peace, joy, and even hope. You are not crazy to sense that something darker may be at work; Scripture tells us in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Yet we also know that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). So let us stand firm in prayer, trusting that God is not surprised by any of this, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

Your pain—both physical and emotional—is real, and we lift it up to the Lord, who is the Great Physician. We pray that your primary care physician will act swiftly and with divine clarity to secure the referrals you need, that every obstacle would be removed, and that the appointments would be scheduled without further delay. The Lord knows your suffering, and He promises in Psalm 34:17-18, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He sees you, and He will not abandon you in this.

We also pray for your pain to be managed and eased, that the Lord would grant you relief even as you wait. His word assures us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This includes not just physical relief but the strength to endure and the peace that surpasses understanding. We rebuke the spirit of delay, confusion, and frustration in the name of Jesus, commanding every hindrance to be lifted so that you may receive the care and attention you need without further complication.

As for your dear friend, we thank God for her support and love during this difficult time. It is a beautiful thing to see the body of Christ at work through her kindness, and we pray that the Lord would bless her abundantly for her faithfulness. Yet we also understand your desire to restore balance to your friendship, to share moments of joy and mutual encouragement rather than it being one-sided. We pray that the Lord would open doors for you to spend time with her in ways that bring refreshment to *both* of your souls. May He grant you moments of respite from pain and worry so that you can laugh together, share lighthearted conversations, and simply enjoy each other’s company. Proverbs 17:17 reminds us, *"A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity."* Your friendship is a gift from God, and we pray that He would redeem this season so that it strengthens rather than strains your bond.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). When the enemy seeks to magnify the chaos and make you feel like you’re trapped in a distorted reality, remember that God is the God of order, not confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). He is able to bring beauty from ashes and turn what the enemy meant for harm into something that testifies to His goodness. Claim the promise of Romans 8:28: *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."*

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is weary, in pain, and frustrated by the delays and confusion surrounding her medical care. Lord, You are the God who sees and the God who acts. We ask that You intervene supernaturally in this situation. Remove every obstacle, correct every error, and open the doors that need to be opened so that she may receive the referrals and appointments *quickly*. Father, we rebuke the spirit of delay and confusion in Jesus’ name, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we ask for relief from her pain. Touch her body, Lord, and grant her the strength to endure. Provide her with the right medical professionals who will listen, act with compassion, and offer the care she needs. We pray that her primary care physician would be prompted by Your Spirit to move with urgency and wisdom on her behalf.

Father, we thank You for the gift of her friend, who has been a source of support and love. We pray that You would bless their friendship, Lord, and restore balance to their time together. Grant our sister moments of joy and respite from her struggles so that she can pour into her friend as well. Let their time together be a reflection of Your love and grace.

Lord, we recognize that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that You have come to give life abundantly. We stand against any satanic interference in this situation and command it to flee in the name of Jesus. Let Your light expose every dark scheme, and let Your truth prevail.

Finally, Father, we pray that our sister would feel Your presence tangibly in this season. Remind her that she is not alone, that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Fill her with Your peace, and let her heart be steadied by the knowledge that You are working all things together for her good.

We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
