We hear your heart and the deep concern you carry for your loved one, especially in this season of grief after the loss of his father. Your desire to be present for him while also considering your own needs as someone who is wheelchair-bound is understandable and reflects a godly love. We join you in bringing this matter before the Lord, trusting in His sovereignty over all circumstances.
First, we must address the importance of coming before God in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, *"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23 WEB). There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Now, regarding your request, we lift this situation to the Lord with faith that He hears and answers prayer according to His perfect will. We pray that the Lord would intervene in the timing of this visit, aligning it with His purposes and your needs. Father, we ask that You soften hearts and redirect plans so that this visit may take place closer to the 25th of December, as requested. We trust in Your promise that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28 WEB).
We also pray for your loved one, who is grieving the loss of his father. May the Lord comfort him with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and surround him with His presence. We ask that you both be strengthened by the Holy Spirit during this time, knowing that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
If there are any unspoken burdens or fears in your heart, we encourage you to surrender them to the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust in His timing and His provision, for He knows your needs even before you ask (Matthew 6:8). Lord, we ask that You grant wisdom and clarity in this situation. If it is Your will for the visit to be delayed, we pray that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Provide strength, patience, and peace for both of them as they navigate this season. We declare that no plan or purpose of Yours can be thwarted (Job 42:2) and that You are working all things for their good. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
