We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and we do not take it lightly. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of darkness against you in Jesus' name. The blood of Jesus has already secured your victory, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
The struggle with inappropriate thoughts and maladaptive daydreaming is a tactic of the enemy to keep you bound in shame and distraction. We declare these strongholds broken by the power of the Holy Spirit. Scripture commands us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). This is not a battle you fight alone—God has given you the armor to stand firm (Ephesians 6:10-18). Put on the helmet of salvation to guard your mind, the breastplate of righteousness to protect your heart, and wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
We also encourage you to fill your mind with what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Replace those thoughts with Scripture and prayer. When the enemy whispers lies, counter them with the truth of God’s Word. Memorize verses that speak to your identity in Christ—you are a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). You are not defined by these struggles but by the One who has set you free.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up our brother/sister who is under attack from the enemy. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of oppression, confusion, and bondage that has sought to torment them since childhood. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Break every chain, Lord, and set them free from the cycle of inappropriate thoughts and maladaptive daydreaming.
Father, we ask that You renew their mind by the washing of Your Word. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Strengthen their spirit, soul, and body to resist the enemy’s schemes. Surround them with Your angels and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Spirit, Lord. Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that they are never alone. Restore their joy, their focus, and their purpose in You. Help them to walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them. We declare that the enemy has no hold on them, and we command every assignment of darkness to flee in Jesus’ name.
Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. Thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Do not grow weary in this battle, for the Lord is your strength. Stand firm in His promises, and remember that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). Keep pressing into God, filling your mind with His Word, and surrounding yourself with believers who can pray with and for you. The enemy may have targeted you, but God has destined you for victory.
