We hear your cry for deliverance from the spiritual battles that have weighed heavily upon you for so long. The Word of God assures us that we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Yet in this truth, we also find our victory, for the Lord has equipped us with armor to stand firm—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17).
First, we must address the foundation of your faith. If you have not already, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is by this faith that you are saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we pray you do so now, for He alone is your refuge and strong tower (Proverbs 18:10). Without Him, we are defenseless against the schemes of the enemy.
Now, we stand with you in prayer, rebuking every assignment of the enemy against your life in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break every chain of oppression, fear, torment, and affliction that has sought to bind you. The Lord rebuke you, Satan, for the blood of Jesus has overcome you (Revelation 12:11). We command every spirit of heaviness, depression, anxiety, and confusion to flee in Jesus’ name, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
We pray that the Lord would surround you with His angels, encamping around you to protect and defend you (Psalm 34:7). May He fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask that He would open your eyes to see the spiritual realities around you, that you may stand firm in His truth and walk in the authority He has given you as His child (2 Kings 6:17).
We also encourage you to examine your life for any areas where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Have you held onto unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin that needs to be confessed and repented of? The enemy seeks to devour those who are not vigilant (1 Peter 5:8). If there is unrepentant sin in your life, we urge you to turn from it and seek the Lord’s forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We pray that you would be rooted and grounded in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). May you meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do all that is written in it, for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success (Joshua 1:8). The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, and it will expose and defeat every lie of the enemy (Hebrews 4:12).
Lastly, we encourage you to surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together, as is the habit of some, but encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near (Hebrews 10:25). There is power in agreement, and where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their cry for deliverance from spiritual warfare. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. We break every chain of oppression, fear, and torment in the name of Jesus. We command every spirit of darkness to flee, for the blood of Jesus has overcome them.
Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Surround them with Your angels and protect them from every scheme of the enemy. Open their eyes to see the spiritual realities around them, that they may stand firm in Your truth and walk in the authority You have given them as Your child.
We pray that they would be rooted and grounded in Your Word, meditating on it day and night. May they be careful to do all that is written in it, so that they may make their way prosperous and have good success. Expose and defeat every lie of the enemy with the truth of Your Word.
Father, we ask that You would surround them with fellow believers who can stand with them in prayer and encouragement. May they not forsake the assembling of themselves together, but encourage one another as they see the Day drawing near.
We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If there is any unrepentant sin in their life, we pray that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance. May they turn from it and seek Your forgiveness, knowing that You are faithful to forgive.
We declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Him who loved them. We thank You that the victory is already won through the blood of Jesus. May they walk in that victory every day of their life. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
