We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, recognizing the reality of spiritual warfare that our brother or sister has endured for much of their life. The Bible makes it clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). This is not a battle to be taken lightly, but we stand firm in the truth that God has already given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
First and foremost, we must address the foundation of this request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome spiritual warfare. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Now, let us stand together in prayer and rebuke the enemy’s attacks:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above every name. We lift up our brother/sister who has been under relentless spiritual attack. Lord, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against their life, their mind, their spirit, and their circumstances. We break every chain, every stronghold, and every lie that has been spoken over them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
Father, we ask that You would surround them with Your heavenly hosts, with angels encamped around them for protection (Psalm 91:11 WEB). We pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them discernment, wisdom, and strength to stand firm in the armor of God. Clothe them with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:13-17 WEB).
Lord, we declare that the enemy has no authority over their life. Jesus disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in the cross (Colossians 2:15 WEB). We command every spirit of fear, oppression, depression, confusion, and torment to flee in Jesus’ name. We speak life, peace, and freedom over our brother/sister. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37 WEB).
Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds, restore any areas of their life that have been affected by these attacks, and fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18 WEB). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in the authority You have given them as a child of God. May they rise up in the power of Your Spirit and live victoriously, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB).
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We trust in You to bring an end to this spiritual warfare and to establish Your peace and protection over their life. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, beloved. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). Walk in the authority you have been given as a child of God, and do not be afraid. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7 WEB). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Fill your mind with the truth of God’s Word, for it is your sword in this battle. And remember, the battle is not yours, but God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15 WEB). He is fighting for you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). You are not alone.
