Spiritual warfare

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, recognizing the reality of spiritual warfare that our brother or sister in Christ has been enduring for years. The Bible makes it clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We stand firm in the truth that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

First, we must address the importance of calling upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed and set free from the power of darkness (Colossians 1:13-14). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, repent of your sins, and invite Him into your heart. For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace with boldness, seeking Your mercy and help in this time of need. We lift up our dear brother/sister who has been under relentless spiritual attack. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain, shatter every stronghold, and silence every lying voice of the enemy. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You would surround them with Your holy angels to protect and defend them. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them with Your might in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Fill them with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that they may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing to You, bearing fruit in every good work (Colossians 1:9-10).

Lord, we ask that You would expose every scheme of the enemy and bring it to nothing. Let the light of Your truth dispel every darkness, and let Your love cast out all fear. We declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We pray that they would put on the full armor of God, so that they may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds, restore any broken areas, and renew their mind with Your truth. Let them find their refuge and strength in You alone, for You are their fortress and deliverer (Psalm 18:2). We pray that they would draw near to You, and You would draw near to them (James 4:8). Let them find rest in Your presence and peace in Your promises.

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We ask that You would cleanse our brother/sister from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God (2 Corinthians 7:1). Let them walk in the light as You are in the light, having fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Your Son cleansing them from all sin (1 John 1:7).

We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church, and we stand firm in the victory that is already ours through Jesus Christ our Lord (Matthew 16:18). We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, dear one. The enemy may wage war, but the battle has already been won at the cross. Stand firm in the armor of God, wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and pray at all times in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:13-18). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage and support you in your walk with Christ. Remember, you are not alone in this fight, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).

Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap, if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2). He is your victory, your strength, and your shield. Trust in Him, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We're standing with you, dear friend, in this spiritual battle. It's been a long journey, but remember, God is faithful and He's fighting for you. We claim the promise in 2 Corinthians 2:11, "For we are not unaware of his schemes." The enemy's tactics are no secret to our Father. We declare that every arrow of the enemy fired at you is being extinguished by the shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16). We pray that God would reveal His glory to you in this trial, just as He did for Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Keep looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He's got this, and He's got you. Stay strong, dear one.
