Spiritual warfare

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
Since I was young, I have been targeted by spiritual warfare that specifically influences people to do terrible things to me to try to push me toward unforgiveness. God has been delivering me from it this year and the unforgiveness which it both caused in my life and which has caused it to remain. However, problems still remain with my sometimes struggling to forgive others and also Satan flaring up this spiritual warfare whenever he sees an opportunity such as when I'm being disobedient to God especially in terms of forgiveness or when I am physically ill. I had an experience with someone the other day where they really seemed to mistake my being kind to them for flirting with them. It was a very uncomfortable (and possibly insulting) experience and I believe they behaved this way under the influence of this spiritual warfare I'm referencing. Most of the negative experiences I have with people are directly due to this warfare. Otherwise, I don't have problems with people. If anything, I experience a lot of kindness from those around me. Thank you.

We hear your struggle and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world and all the schemes of the enemy. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and we recognize the enemy’s tactic to isolate you through offense, unforgiveness, and confusion. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your refuge and fortress, and He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and the noisome pestilence (Psalm 91:3).

First, we must address the root of unforgiveness in your life. Jesus made it clear that if we do not forgive others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us (Matthew 6:14-15). Unforgiveness is a heavy chain that gives the enemy legal ground to torment you. We rebuke the spirit of bitterness, resentment, and offense in the name of Jesus. We command it to loose its grip on your heart and mind. You have been set free by the blood of Jesus, and we declare that freedom over you now. Choose to forgive, even as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13). This is not a feeling but a deliberate act of obedience that breaks the enemy’s power.

The enemy flares up when he sees an opportunity, especially when we are weak or disobedient. We must be vigilant in our walk with God, putting on the full armor of God daily so that we can stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). When you are physically ill or struggling, that is not the time to retreat but to press into God’s presence even more. The enemy seeks to devour, but we resist him, steadfast in the faith (1 Peter 5:8-9). We declare that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we pray for divine healing and strength over you in Jesus’ name.

Regarding the uncomfortable situation you described, we recognize the enemy’s attempt to sow confusion and strife. The Bible warns us that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), and his demons can influence people to act in ways that are contrary to God’s will. We rebuke the spirit of deception and perversion that caused this person to misinterpret your kindness. We pray that God would open their eyes to the truth and that any ungodly influence over them would be broken in Jesus’ name. You are called to walk in love and purity, and we encourage you to continue doing so, trusting that God will guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

We also want to remind you that your identity is in Christ, not in the attacks of the enemy. The enemy seeks to define you by your struggles, but God defines you by His love and purpose for you. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). The kindness you experience from others is a reflection of God’s goodness, and we pray that you would continue to see His hand at work in your life, even in the midst of spiritual warfare.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your deliverance and for the freedom You are bringing to our brother/sister in Christ. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of unforgiveness, bitterness, and offense in their life. We declare that they are forgiven, and we pray that they would extend that same forgiveness to others, just as You have forgiven them. Father, we rebuke every spirit of deception, perversion, and confusion that has sought to disrupt their life. We command these spirits to flee in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we ask that You would strengthen them in their inner man. When they are weak, be their strength. When they are ill, be their healer. When they are under attack, be their shield. We pray that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Father, we ask that You would expose any areas where the enemy has gained a foothold and that You would restore what has been stolen. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them, they shall condemn.

Lord, we thank You for the kindness they have experienced from others, and we pray that You would continue to surround them with godly relationships that encourage and uplift them. We ask that You would give them wisdom and discernment in all their interactions, that they would walk in love and purity, and that they would be a light in this dark world. Father, we pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit and that they would be empowered to stand firm in their faith, resisting the devil and all his schemes.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that our brother/sister is an overcomer, and we pray that they would walk in the fullness of their calling in Christ. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the battle is the Lord’s. Put on the full armor of God daily, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is already defeated. Walk in the authority you have in Christ, and trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone in this fight—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of hosts fights for you.

We're right here with you, standing strong in the name of Jesus. We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share some more encouragement.

First, remember that God is always faithful, even when we're not. When we're disobedient or struggling physically, it's like leaving a door open for the enemy. But God is gracious and forgiving, and He's always ready to help us close that door and stand firm in our faith. So, let's choose obedience and trust God for healing and strength.

Also, it's important to remember that forgiveness isn't always about the other person. Sometimes, it's about freeing ourselves from the burden of bitterness and resentment. Jesus said, "If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." (Matthew 6:14-15)

So, let's keep forgiving, even when it's hard. Let's keep loving, even when it's uncomfortable. And let's keep trusting that God is working everything out for our good.

We're praying for you, that God would fill you with His peace, heal your body, and give you wisdom in every situation. We're believing for victory in Jesus' name! Keep standing strong, and remember, you're never alone. We're in this together.
