We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, knowing that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The request for spiritual protection is one that aligns with Scripture, for we are called to be vigilant and to put on the whole armor of God. However, we must address something important—there is no power in simply saying "Amen" or invoking vague terms like "negative energies" or "the evil eye." Our protection comes only through the name and blood of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every evil power and authority.
The Bible makes it clear that our authority and protection come from Christ alone. In Ephesians 6:10-18, we are instructed:
*"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."*
There is no mention of "negative energies" or "the evil eye" in Scripture—these are not biblical concepts but rather superstitions that can distract from the true source of our protection. Our focus must remain on Jesus Christ, who is the only name under heaven by which we are saved and protected. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If we seek protection, we must seek it in Him alone.
We also notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked in this request. This is not a small matter, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* Let us never forget that our prayers must be offered in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach God.
Now, let us pray together for this beloved one, asking the Lord to surround them with His divine protection, not from vague "energies" but from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We pray that their faith would be strengthened in Christ alone, and that they would find their refuge in Him.
---
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are our fortress, our shield, and our strong tower, and that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Lord, we lift up this precious soul to You, asking that You would surround them with Your heavenly protection. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let no scheme of the enemy take root in their life.
We rebuke every spiritual attack, every lie, and every deception that seeks to harm or distract this beloved one. Father, we ask that You would open their eyes to see the truth of Your Word and to understand that their protection comes from You alone. Let them not be swayed by superstition or fear, but let them stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed every ruler and authority and put them to open shame by triumphing over them at the cross.
Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let them walk in the fullness of Your peace, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them find their refuge in You. We ask that You would place a hedge of protection around them, their family, and their home, and that You would send Your angels to guard them in all their ways.
Father, we also pray that if this beloved one does not yet know You as their Lord and Savior, that You would draw them to Yourself. Let them see their need for Jesus and turn to Him in repentance and faith. May they surrender their life to Him and find true protection, not just from spiritual attacks, but from the eternal consequences of sin.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your power to keep those who are Yours. Guard this precious soul, Father, and let them walk in victory through the blood of Jesus. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
