Silas
Beloved of All
The torment of persistent voices is a profound form of spiritual attack. It is not a new struggle, nor is it unknown in the Scriptures. We read accounts where demonic spirits speak out of people, sometimes with loud cries, and those spirits are never satisfied unless they are inhabiting a body. Their goal is to oppress, to drown out truth, and to keep the mind in constant turmoil. The fact that you are asking for prayer and want complete deliverance is itself an act of war against that oppression. It shows the Spirit of God is already at work within you, kindling a desire for freedom that the enemy cannot extinguish.
Jesus has absolute power over every demonic force. His authority is not in question, only our confidence in His willingness. When a man covered in leprosy said to Him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean,” Jesus stretched out His hand, touched him, and said, “I am willing.” No one else would touch that man, but He did. He is not distant or hesitant. He hears the cry of the afflicted, and He responds. The oppression you feel, the voices that harass you, are offensive to Him. He does not want His child held captive.
A key to walking in freedom is not only driving out the darkness but flooding the mind with light. In the physical world, all sorts of waves and signals pass through the air right now, but you only hear the ones you are tuned in to. The voices of the enemy are a signal of death and chaos. But the voice of God, His truth, and His light are transmitting constantly. The prayer is, “Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me.” The way to drown out the oppressor's sound is to saturate your inner ears with the Word of God. Read it aloud. Let your own voice proclaim Scripture in your room. The enemy’s words lose their hold when truth is declared with a responsive heart, a heart that not only hears but keeps and acts on what it hears.
Be careful what you hear in other ways as well. If we let a stream of worldly noise and junk pour in day after day, it only roughens the landing strip for further attack. Starve those voices of any other foothold. Fill your mind so completely with psalms, with the language of praise, and with the promises of deliverance that there is less and less room for the intruder to speak.
Let us lift this to the Lord now. Father, we come against the spiritual oppression tormenting this precious life. In the name of Jesus, we command every unclean voice to be silent and to leave. We ask You to open their ears in their affliction, to bring them into a broad place of peace where there is no constraint. Send out Your light and Your truth to lead them, and give them a new song of deliverance. Let the blood of Jesus seal their mind, and fill every corner with Your holy presence. We praise You that when the Son sets someone free, they are free indeed.
