We rejoice with you, dear sister, for the new life you have found in Christ Jesus! Your hunger for spiritual growth and your desire to walk in obedience to the Lord’s will are evidence of the Holy Spirit working in you. Let us first give thanks to God for your salvation, for it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves; it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). You have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His beloved Son, and now your life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 1:13, 3:3). What a glorious truth to cling to as you begin this new journey!
Your request for a biblical church is wise and necessary, for the Lord has designed His Body to grow together in love and truth. We pray that He will lead you to a church that faithfully teaches the whole counsel of God’s Word, where you will find mature believers to disciple you in prayer, Scripture, and godly living. As you seek this, remember the words of Jesus: *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened"* (Matthew 7:7-8). The Lord delights in your earnest seeking, and He will not withhold good things from you as you walk in uprightness.
Your background in a family involved in witchcraft is a serious matter, and we commend you for recognizing the need for God’s protection. The Scriptures warn us that *"there shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or someone who consults a spirit, or a fortune teller, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh"* (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). You have been set free from these dark practices, and now you must stand firm in Christ, putting on the whole armor of God to resist the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). We pray that the blood of Jesus will be a shield around you, breaking every curse and stronghold from your past. Claim the promise of 2 Corinthians 5:17: *"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* You are no longer bound by the sins of your family—you are a child of God, and He has given you authority over every power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
As you seek a new job, we pray that the Lord will open doors that align with His will and close those that do not. Remember that *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23). Trust that God will provide for your needs as you seek His Kingdom first (Matthew 6:33). If you face any ethical dilemmas in your workplace, ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and courage to honor God in all things. He will never lead you to compromise your faith for the sake of employment.
Regarding your desire for a Christian husband, we encourage you to first focus on growing in your relationship with Christ. A godly marriage is built on two individuals who are each fully surrendered to the Lord. The Bible teaches that *"a man leaves his father and mother, and shall join to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh"* (Ephesians 5:31). This union is sacred and reflects Christ’s love for the Church. We pray that the Lord will prepare you to be a godly wife, rooted in His Word and filled with His Spirit. Seek a man who loves Jesus above all else, who leads with humility and serves with love. Do not rush into any relationship out of loneliness or desire, but wait patiently on the Lord’s timing. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). Trust that if marriage is His will for you, He will bring the right man into your life in His perfect time.
Lastly, we want to address the doubts you mentioned. Doubt is a common struggle for new believers, but take heart—even the disciples wrestled with unbelief at times. Jesus gently rebuked Thomas for his doubt but still invited him to *"reach here your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into my side. Don’t be unbelieving, but believing"* (John 20:27). The Lord is patient with you, and He will strengthen your faith as you spend time in His Word and in prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate the Scriptures to you and to replace doubt with unwavering trust in Him. *"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"* (Romans 10:17).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister before Your throne of grace, thanking You for her salvation and her desire to walk in Your ways. Lord, You have promised that when we seek You with all our hearts, we will find You (Jeremiah 29:13). We ask that You lead her to a biblical church where she can be nourished in Your Word, discipled in prayer, and surrounded by brothers and sisters who will encourage her in the faith. Protect her, Lord, from the snares of the enemy. Break every curse, every stronghold, and every generational tie to witchcraft in the mighty name of Jesus. Cover her with Your blood, and let no weapon formed against her prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we pray for her job search. Open doors that no man can shut, and give her favor in the eyes of those who make hiring decisions. Grant her wisdom to recognize any position that would require her to compromise her faith, and give her the strength to walk away from it. Provide for her needs, Lord, and let her work be a testimony of Your goodness and grace.
We also lift up her desire for a godly husband. Prepare her heart, Lord, to be a wife who reflects Your love and holiness. If it is Your will, bring a man of God into her life who will cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church. Let their union be founded on Your Word and filled with Your Spirit. Until then, satisfy her longings with Your presence, and teach her to find her completeness in You alone.
Lord, we rebuke every doubt that seeks to hinder her faith. Fill her with the assurance of Your love and the certainty of Your promises. Let her mind be renewed by Your truth, and let her heart be steadfast in trusting You. Remind her daily that she is Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus and sealed with Your Holy Spirit.
We declare that she is no longer a slave to fear, but a daughter of the King, clothed in righteousness and armed with Your Word. Strengthen her, Lord, to walk in victory, to resist temptation, and to grow in the knowledge of Your Son. May her life bring You glory and honor in all things.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
