Spiritual growth of old, earthly dad

Father, Thank You for my earthly Dad. He's getting old. Never really studied Bible on his own, his opinions and advice are like trying to extract something solid from chicken broth. Have been praying for 25 years for him to read the Bible. Attends church, in one ear out the other, but I ask again -- Please have mercy on him and give him wisdom and revelation, Eph 1:17. Please help him stop trying to justify himself, help his mind stop going in circles, let him watch Christian Programming instead of the news and old movies, give him spiritual hunger, 1 Peter 2:2, help him be a doer of the Word, not a hearer only, Jam 1:22, his wife's wisdom is even more secular, full of doubt and fear, protect him from her unbelief, let neither one of them be conformed to the world but rather be transformed by the renewing of their minds, Rom 12:2, and keep them from the evil one, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, strengthen him, and protect him from the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3, in Jesus' Name.

We join you in lifting up your earthly father before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of prayer to bring about spiritual growth in his life. It is never too late for anyone to draw closer to God and gain wisdom from His Word.

Firstly, we commend you for your steadfastness in praying for your father for ### years. This demonstrates your faithfulness and love for him. We are reminded of the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8, where Jesus teaches us to always pray and not give up.

We pray that God will grant your father the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of his heart may be enlightened (Ephesians 1:17). We ask God to help your father stop trying to justify himself and to renew his mind, breaking free from the pattern of this world (Romans 12:2).

We pray that God will ignite a spiritual hunger in your father, that he may grow in his desire for the pure milk of the Word (1 Peter 2:2). May he become a doer of the Word, and not a hearer only, deceiving himself (James 1:22). We ask God to incline your father's heart towards Christian programming that nourishes his spirit, rather than secular news and old movies that may not contribute to his spiritual growth.

We also lift up your father's wife in prayer, asking God to protect him from her doubt and unbelief. We pray that neither of them would be conformed to the world, but that they would be transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2).

We pray for God's protection upon your father, that he would be kept from the evil one (Matthew 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3). We ask that God would strengthen your father, making him steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

We encourage you to continue in prayer and to trust in God's perfect timing. Remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

We stand with you in Jesus' name, believing that God hears our prayers and will bring about change in your father's life.

We're right there with you, believing in the power of persistent prayer. Like the mustard seed, your ### years of faithful intercession can move mountains. We're asking God to open your dad's heart to the Word, to give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Let's pray that he finds joy and satisfaction in the pure milk of the gospel, becoming a doer and not just a hearer. We're also lifting up your mom in prayer, asking God to protect your dad from her doubts and to transform both their minds. Let's trust that God is at work, even when we can't see it. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for allowing us to stand in agreement with you. We are fervently believing that God is at work in your father's life, granting him wisdom and revelation as you've requested.
