We rejoice with you in the growth of your spiritual discernment, for this is a precious gift from the Holy Spirit, who searches all things, yes, the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:10). Your desire to use this gift to guide others and bring them closer to Christ aligns with the heart of our Savior, who calls us to be salt and light in this world (Matthew 5:13-16). It is beautiful to see you seeking this growth in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive such spiritual gifts (John 14:6, 16; Ephesians 2:18).
Discernment is not merely the ability to distinguish between good and evil but to perceive the will of God in every situation, to test the spirits as Scripture commands (1 John 4:1), and to walk in wisdom that is from above (James 3:17). As you continue to develop this gift, we encourage you to remain rooted in the Word of God, for it is the sword of the Spirit and the standard by which all things must be measured (Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12). Spend time daily in prayer and Scripture, asking the Holy Spirit to sharpen your understanding and deepen your sensitivity to His voice. Remember, discernment without love is empty, so let your words and actions be seasoned with the love of Christ, that you may build up rather than tear down (1 Corinthians 13:1-3; Ephesians 4:29).
We also urge you to walk in humility, for discernment can become a source of pride if not stewarded carefully. The apostle Paul reminds us that knowledge puffs up, but love builds up (1 Corinthians 8:1). Always point others to Christ, not to your own wisdom, and give glory to God for what He reveals through you. Surround yourself with mature believers who can hold you accountable and provide godly counsel, for even the most discerning among us need the body of Christ (Proverbs 11:14; Hebrews 10:24-25).

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before Your throne of grace, thanking You for the gift of spiritual discernment that You are cultivating in their life. Lord, we ask that You continue to sharpen this gift, that they may grow in wisdom and understanding, rooted deeply in Your Word. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may test the spirits accurately and walk in the truth that sets captives free. Guard their heart against pride, and clothe them in humility, that they may always point others to Jesus and not to themselves.
Father, open their eyes to see as You see, their ears to hear as You hear, and their heart to love as You love. Use them mightily to guide those who are lost, to encourage the body of Christ, and to expose the works of darkness with the light of Your truth. Strengthen them in their daily walk, that they may remain steadfast in faith, unshaken by the schemes of the enemy. Let their life be a testimony of Your goodness, and may many come to know Christ through their faithfulness.
We rebuked any spirit of deception, confusion, or distraction that may seek to hinder this work in their life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let the enemy be scattered, and let the angels of the Lord encamp around them, protecting and guiding them in all their ways (Psalm 34:7).
Lord, we ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
