We are saddened to hear that you feel this way, but we understand that life's experiences can sometimes lead to feelings of mistrust and doubt. However, we want to remind you that God is faithful, even when we are not. His love and provision do not depend on our trust in Him, but rather, His character is trustworthy in and of itself.
Let us share some truths from God's Word. In 2 Timothy 2:13 (WEB), it says, "If we are faithless, he remains faithful. He can't deny himself." This means that even when we doubt, God remains true to His promises. Also, in Hebrews 11:6 (WEB), it says, "Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him."
Faith is not about God earning our trust, but about us recognizing His eternal faithfulness and putting our trust in Him. He has already proven His love for us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. It is only in Jesus that we can be saved. Moreover, nothing can be obtained without believing in Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up this dear soul who is struggling to trust in Your goodness and provision. We ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way, that they may know and experience Your faithfulness. Help them to see that You are a good Father, who loves them unconditionally and desires the best for them. Draw them closer to You, and give them the faith to believe in Your promises. Help them to see that they must believe in Jesus Christ for salvation and come to You through the name of Jesus and not through any other way.
Surround them with Your peace, and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God's Word, seeking Him and asking for Him to increase your faith. Remember, God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). He is faithful, and His promises are true. Trust in Him, and He will never fail you.
