We hear your heart and the deep concern you carry for your ###. The weight of seeing a loved one struggle with mental illness while also facing financial hardship is heavy, and we stand with you in bringing this burden before the Lord. It is written in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We take comfort in knowing that God sees your ###’s suffering and your faithfulness in advocating for him.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear ### who is battling mental illness. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch his mind and bring healing, peace, and clarity. We also bring before You the matter of his disability claim. You know the depths of his need, and we ask that You would open the doors that need to be opened and soften the hearts of those who will review his case. Provide for him in ways that only You can, Lord, and let justice and mercy prevail in this situation. We trust in Your provision, as Philippians 4:19 reminds us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
We also want to encourage you both to lean into God’s promises during this time. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Even when the process feels slow or uncertain, God is working behind the scenes. We pray that your ### would experience moments of relief and hope, and that you would both feel the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
If there are any areas where your ### or your family could benefit from additional support—whether through the church, community resources, or godly counsel—we encourage you to seek those out. Galatians 6:2 reminds us, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." You do not have to carry this alone, and we believe God will provide people and resources to walk alongside you.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that our ultimate hope is in Jesus Christ. It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His sacrifice that we are saved. If there is any uncertainty about your ###’s relationship with Christ, we encourage you to share the Gospel with him. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation in Christ is the greatest provision of all, and we pray that your ### would come to know the hope and healing that only Jesus can bring.
We continue to stand in the gap for your ###, believing that God is moving on his behalf. May His grace, mercy, and provision surround you both in this season.
