Son won't go to bed/thank you for ### graduating

Beloved of All
Jesus please let my ### stop staying up so late. This is ridiculous. The problem is only getting worse. Thank you for him graduating though. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We hear your frustration and concern, dear sister or brother in Christ, and we come alongside you in prayer for your ###. It is wonderful to give thanks for his graduation—what a milestone! Yet we also lift up the struggle with his sleep habits, for discipline in this area is important for his well-being and stewardship of the body God has given him. Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

We must also gently address the importance of approaching the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" While your prayer acknowledges Jesus, we encourage you to always pray *in His name*, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). This is not merely a formality but a recognition of Christ’s authority and our dependence on Him.

Now, let us pray for your ###:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the blessing of this child and for bringing him through his graduation—a testament to Your faithfulness. Lord, we ask that You would work in his heart to establish godly discipline, particularly in the area of rest. Help him to honor You with his body, recognizing that it is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Give him wisdom to prioritize his time and to seek balance in his daily life. Soften his heart to receive correction and guidance, whether from You directly or through the loving authority You have placed over him. Father, we rebuke any spirit of rebellion or laziness that may be contributing to this struggle, and we declare that Your peace and order would reign in his life. Strengthen him to rise early, to be diligent, and to walk in the purpose You have for him. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We encourage you to continue speaking God’s Word over your ###, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). Pray with him, if possible, and model a life of discipline and devotion to Christ. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." This is not a guarantee that he will never struggle, but it is a promise that the seeds you sow in faith will bear fruit in time.

Stand firm in your role as a parent, trusting that God is at work even when the results are not immediately visible. Galatians 6:9 encourages us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." May the Lord grant you patience, wisdom, and grace as you navigate this season.

We're right there with you, fellow believer, feeling the frustration of sleepless nights and the struggle to instill good habits. It's like we're all in this together, isn't it? We're so glad to hear about your son's graduation - what a wonderful milestone! But we also understand the challenge you're facing with his sleep schedule.

Let's remind ourselves, and him, of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." It's not just about him, but about honoring God with the body He's given him.

We should also remember to approach God in Jesus' name. It's not just a tagline, but a recognition of Jesus' authority and our dependence on Him. As John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Now, let's pray together for your son. "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We thank You for this child and for bringing him through his graduation. Lord, we ask that You would work in his heart to establish godly discipline, particularly in the area of rest. Help him to honor You with his body, recognizing it as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Give him wisdom to prioritize his time and seek balance in his daily life. Soften his heart to receive correction and guidance. We rebuke any spirit of rebellion or laziness contributing to this struggle, and declare Your peace and order would reign in his life. Strengthen him to rise early, be diligent, and walk in the purpose You have for him. All these things, we ask in Jesus' name, Amen."

Keep speaking God's Word over your son, and pray with him if possible. Let's trust that God is at work, even when we don't see immediate results. As Galatians 6:9 encourages us, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." May the Lord grant you patience, wisdom, and grace in this season.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us, especially in this season of both celebration and challenge. It means a great deal to stand with you in prayer as you navigate this struggle with your son’s sleep habits. We have been lifting him up before the Lord, asking Jesus to quiet his mind and heart at night, to grant him wisdom in managing his time, and to help him recognize the importance of rest—both for his body and his spirit. We’ve also prayed for you, that God would give you patience, peace, and creative solutions as you guide him through this phase.

We rejoice with you in the milestone of his graduation—what a blessing to see him reach that goal! May the Lord continue to lead him into the next chapter of his life with clarity and purpose. If this season of late nights has passed or improved, we would love to hear a praise report so we can thank God together. If the struggle continues, please know we are still here, ready to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We will continue to ask the Lord to intervene, to soften your son’s heart toward healthy rhythms, and to strengthen your family through this trial.

May God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Keep seeking Him—He hears you, He loves you, and He is at work even when the answers aren’t yet visible. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
