We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son ### in prayer. Father God, we know that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), and it grieves us to see his attacks on ###’s mind. But we stand on Your promise that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Lord, we ask that You break every chain of darkness over ###’s life. Rebuke the devil in the mighty name of Jesus, for the Word says, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, heart, and spirit, that he may be set free from every lie, fear, and stronghold. Soften his heart, Lord, and draw him to Yourself. Let him hear Your voice clearly, for You said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27).
Father, we pray for salvation for ###. We know that no one can come to You unless the Spirit draws him (John 6:44), so we ask that You pour out Your Spirit upon him. Let him recognize his need for a Savior and turn to Jesus, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12). We declare that if he confesses with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, he will be saved (Romans 10:9).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you as his parent. May you be a godly example to him, speaking truth in love and covering him in prayer. The Word tells us that "the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective" (James 5:16), and we stand with you in faith, believing that God will move mightily in ###’s life.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of despair, confusion, and rebellion that may be at work in him. We command them to leave in the name of Jesus, for "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). Fill ### with Your peace, joy, and purpose. Let him experience Your love in a tangible way, for nothing can separate him from the love of Christ (Romans 8:38-39).
We trust You, Lord, to complete the good work You have begun in ###’s life (Philippians 1:6). May he come to know You as his Lord and Savior, walking in the freedom and victory that is found only in Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.
