Beloved of All
Jesus please let my son go to bed earlier tonight and please let him realize that him going to bed earlier helps me get more rest and be better for him. Please also let my friend be ok. He is in the hospital and I don't know exactly what is wrong. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

For the Sick and Afflicted
Affliction calls us to accept God’s discipline, forsake hidden sin, and seek his light to grow in holiness.
Carried by Four
Some souls need the combined faith and effort of others to be brought to Christ for healing and forgiveness.
Sickness in the Mansion
God allows suffering to push us toward a better life and calls us to trust His healing power.
We join you in lifting up these heartfelt needs before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for coming to Him so honestly and trustingly.

We understand the weariness that comes with caring for a child and longing for a little more rest so you can be the parent God has called you to be. It is a good and loving desire to seek rest and order in the home, and to teach your son that his obedience is also a way he can love and honor you. We also hear your concern and love for your friend in the hospital, and the uncertainty of not knowing what is wrong weighs heavily on the heart.

Scripture reminds us that God cares for both our daily needs and our deepest worries. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. Psalm 127:2. We also cling to the promise, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. And for your friend, we remember that the Lord knows every detail even when we do not, and we can cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7. The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. James 5:15. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7.

We pray together with you.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this parent's love for their son and for their friend, and for the faith to bring these requests to You in Jesus' name. We ask that You would give this precious son a willing and understanding heart tonight, that he would go to bed earlier with peace and without struggle, and that You would help him to see how his obedience blesses his parent and honors You. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Ephesians 6:1. Help this parent to communicate that truth with gentleness and consistency, and grant them the sweet rest they need to be renewed in body and spirit. You alone make us live in safety and give us sleep in peace. Psalm 4:8.

We also lift up this dear friend who is in the hospital. Lord, You know exactly what is wrong even when we do not, You know every cell and every need. We ask for Your healing hand upon him, for wisdom for the doctors and nurses caring for him, for comfort for his family, and for a full restoration to health according to Your perfect will. We ask that You would let him know Your presence and peace in that hospital room and that You would bring good news to those who love him.

We thank You, Jesus, that we can come boldly to the throne of grace because of Your name and Your sacrifice for us. Give this parent Your peace tonight as they rest, and let Your will be done in both of these situations. We trust You with our children and our friends, knowing You love them even more than we do. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about both your son and your friend. We can hear the weariness in your request and the love behind it, wanting to be at your best for your son while also carrying worry for your friend in the hospital.

It makes sense that bedtime feels so heavy right now. When you are short on rest it is harder to have patience and energy the next day, and it is good you want your son to understand that connection. One small thing that often helps is to talk about bedtime earlier in the day when neither of you is tired, just briefly sharing why that earlier time helps you both, and keeping the evening routine as steady and calm as you can. It will not fix everything overnight, but it gives him a clear, kind expectation to hold onto.

We are also holding your friend with you in prayer, even without knowing the details. Not having answers is hard, and we are asking God to be near him and those caring for him.

Father, we lift this parent and son to You and ask for rest tonight and understanding between them. We lift their friend to You, asking for Your care over him in the hospital, for wisdom for his caregivers, and for peace for all who love him. Guide and sustain each of them in Your mercy. In Jesus' name, Amen.

How gracious is our God that He permits us to bring even the smallest cares of the household before His throne. You are wearied, and you desire to be better for your son, and this is no little thing in the sight of Him who numbers the hairs of our head and watches over our sleep.

Be comforted to know that there is a Friend who loves at all times, a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother. He loved us before there was any time, and He loves us still in the night watches when sleep is broken and in the bright hours of the day. He is your own Friend and your father's Friend, and He will not forsake you. When you are poor and needy and your strength is spent, He is the poor man's Friend, and He undertakes to care for those who leave their case in His hands.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon us with healing in His wings, pardon and healing come together from the same blessed hand.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, we thank Thee that Thou art the Father who chastens in love and not as a judge who condemns, and that Thou dealest tenderly with Thy children. We bring before Thee this dear parent made weary by broken rest, and this child who lingers beyond his hour of sleep. Grant, we pray Thee, a quiet spirit to this little one tonight, that he may go to his bed in peace and in good time, and grant to his parent the rest that is needed to serve him with patience and strength. Let the home be kept in Thy peace.

We bring also before Thee this friend who lies in the hospital, whose affliction is unknown to us but fully known to Thee. Thou art the sinner's Friend who goes with us down to the shelving banks of Jordan and will not forsake us in the world of spirits. Lay Thy healing hand upon this sufferer. If it be Thy will, raise him up again, and in all things let him feel that Jesus is near, the unrivalled Friend who gave His heart's blood for us. Give wisdom to those who care for him, and comfort to all who love him and wait in uncertainty.

Teach us all to lean hard upon Jesus, and to commit ourselves to Him each morning and each night, saying, Lead me as a child needs to be led, and guide me as a traveler in a foreign land. May we trust ourselves to Him though we cannot see Him, and find that when He has wounded us, He will come to our healing.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and our ever faithful Friend. Amen.

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for your son and for your friend has been heard, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord.

It is a good and loving thing that you desire rest not for yourself alone, but so that you may be better for your son, and that you carry your friend in your heart while he is in the hospital. A genuine friend is a great gift from God, more to be desired than light itself, and the love you show in praying for him when you do not even know his full need is the mark of true friendship. God knows his condition completely even when we do not, and He hears the prayers offered in love.

I also hear your weariness as a parent. The home is the first place where we learn patience and love, with our children and those closest to us. Your son, like all little children, has a simple heart, and God can gently teach him in time to see how his rest and obedience are a blessing to you and to himself. Pray for him with patience, guide him with steady kindness, and trust that the Lord who loves children is at work in him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this parent and this child to You. Grant this son peaceful sleep tonight and in the nights to come, and give him understanding to honor his parent through his rest. Grant this parent renewed strength, patience, and deep rest, so that he or she may care for this child with joy. Lord, I also lift up the friend who is in the hospital. You know what is wrong even when we do not. Lay Your healing hand upon him, comfort him in his distress, give wisdom to those who care for him, and bring him safely through this trial. Let Your will be done in both of these lives, and let Your peace guard this family. Keep us trusting You in all temptations and needs, knowing that when You are favorable to us we have all we need. Amen.
