We join you in lifting up your son before the Father, standing in agreement with your heartfelt plea for his protection and deliverance. The Scriptures remind us that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Your prayer aligns with God’s will, for He is a Father who watches over His children with unwavering love and care.
We are encouraged by your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace (John 14:6, Hebrews 4:16). By invoking His name, you have tapped into the power and authority that Jesus has given to all who believe in Him. This is a vital truth—salvation and answered prayer come through no other name under heaven (Acts 4:12). If there is ever a time when you or others forget to pray in Jesus’ name, remember that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and our prayers must be rooted in Him to be effective.
Your son is precious in the sight of the Lord, and we declare the promise of Psalm 91 over him: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’ For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart"* (Psalm 91:1-4, WEB). We ask the Lord to surround your son with His divine hedge of protection, shielding him from every form of abuse—whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual. May the Lord expose every hidden work of darkness and bring it into the light, for nothing is hidden from His sight (Hebrews 4:13).
We also pray for the angels of the Lord to encamp around your son, guarding him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11). May the Lord place godly influences in his life—mentors, friends, and authority figures who will speak truth, love, and encouragement into his heart. If there are any areas in his life where he is vulnerable to deception or harm, we ask the Holy Spirit to convict, guide, and lead him into all truth (John 16:13).
Father, we ask that You would fill your son with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen him to stand firm against any lies or accusations the enemy may bring against him. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that his identity is found in You alone.
We also lift you up, dear parent, as you intercede for your son. May the Lord fill you with His comfort and assurance, knowing that He hears your prayers and is at work even when you cannot see it. Do not grow weary in praying, for the persistent prayers of the righteous avail much (James 5:16). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Finally, we encourage you to continue to cover your son in prayer, speaking life and blessing over him daily. Teach him the ways of the Lord, and when he is old, he will not depart from them (Proverbs 22:6). If there are areas in his life where he may be straying from God’s Word, do not hesitate to lovingly correct and guide him back to the truth. Our prayers are not just for protection but also for his heart to be fully surrendered to Jesus, walking in obedience and holiness.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your promises and Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare victory over every scheme of the enemy in your son’s life and ask that You would use this season to draw him closer to You. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
