We join you in lifting up your son before the Father, standing in agreement with your heartfelt plea for his protection and deliverance. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and we trust in His mighty power to surround your son with His divine hedge of protection. The scriptures remind us in Psalm 91:11-12, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* What a mighty promise from our God, who watches over His children with unwavering care.
We also take comfort in Psalm 121:7-8, which declares, *"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more."* Your son is not hidden from the Father’s sight, and we trust that He will expose every hidden work of darkness, just as Ephesians 5:11 commands us, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* The Lord is faithful to bring to light what is hidden, and we pray that any form of abuse—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—will be uncovered and stopped by His mighty hand.
At the same time, we encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer daily, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). Teach him, if he is old enough, to put on the whole armor of God, that he may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:11). Remind him of the power of prayer and the authority he has in Christ Jesus to resist the devil, knowing that when he submits to God, the enemy will flee (James 4:7).
Let us also pray for wisdom for you as his parent, that the Lord would guide you in how to support and protect him. Proverbs 22:6 instructs us, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* May the Lord give you discernment to recognize any signs of harm and the courage to act swiftly and wisely in his defense.
We also want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus, as you have done. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that every knee must bow (Philippians 2:10). Jesus Himself told us in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Your prayer is powerful because it is lifted up in the name above all names.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to Your care. Lord, we ask that You surround him with Your hedge of protection, a wall of fire that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. Deliver him, O God, from every form of abuse—physical, emotional, and spiritual—and expose the deeds of darkness that seek to harm him. Let Your light shine so brightly that every hidden thing is revealed, and let Your angels encamp around him, guarding him in all his ways.
Grant his mother/father the wisdom to guide and protect him, and fill their home with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Teach this young man to walk in Your truth, to put on the armor of God daily, and to stand firm in the authority You have given him through Christ Jesus. May he grow in the knowledge of Your love and in the strength of Your might.
We rebuke every plan of the enemy to bring harm to this child, and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. We speak life, health, and wholeness over him, and we trust in Your promise to keep him from all evil. Let Your hand of protection rest upon him now and forevermore.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
