Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, trusting in His mighty protection and care. It is beautiful to see your heart seeking the Lord’s covering over your son, and we stand in agreement with you, declaring the promises of God’s Word over his life today. You have chosen powerful Scriptures to anchor this prayer, and we too claim them in faith.
The Lord is his refuge and fortress, a very present help in trouble. As it is written in Psalm 91:11-12, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* May the Lord surround your son with His heavenly hosts, guarding his steps and keeping him from all harm. We pray that Psalm 121:7-8 would be fulfilled in his life today: *"Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."*
We also lift up the environments he will be in, asking the Lord to shield him from unseen dangers and to place a hedge of protection around him. As Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:13, *"Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."* May the Lord deliver your son from every snare of the enemy and keep his heart and mind stayed on Christ. We declare 2 Thessalonians 3:3 over him: *"But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one."*
At the same time, we encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer daily, for the battles we face are not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). Teach him, if he does not already know, to put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and to walk in wisdom and discernment. If your son does not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we urge you to share the Gospel with him, for there is no greater protection than being hidden in Christ. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If he has strayed from the Lord, we pray for his repentance and return to the Shepherd of his soul.
Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love and protection. We ask that You would watch over this son as he travels and moves through his day. Keep him safe from accidents, harm, and the schemes of the enemy. Fill him with Your peace and presence, and let him know that You are with him always. If he does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for him. Draw him to Yourself, and let him experience the life-transforming power of Your love. Strengthen his mother (or father) with faith and trust in You, knowing that You hear and answer prayer. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
