We lift up your heartfelt concerns to our Heavenly Father, who cares deeply for you and your children. It is wonderful that you brought these requests before Jesus, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can find true peace. As Scripture reminds us, *"All things, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them"* (Mark 11:24, WEB). Your faith in turning to Jesus is a beautiful testimony, and we join you in seeking His will in these matters.
For your son, we pray that the Lord would surround him with His protection and wisdom today. May God grant him clarity of mind to recall all that he needs to do, and may he walk in confidence, knowing that the Lord is with him. *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). Father, we ask that You would place godly influences in his life—teachers, friends, and mentors who will encourage him in Your truth. May he grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with You and with others, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52).
For your daughter, we pray for traveling mercies as she takes to the skies. Lord, we ask that You would command Your angels to guard her every step of the way, from departure to arrival. *"He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone"* (Psalm 91:11-12, WEB). May her flight be smooth, her connections seamless, and her heart at peace, knowing that You are her protector. We also pray that this trip would be a time of growth for her, whether in her faith, her relationships, or her purpose. May she see Your hand at work in every detail.
Regarding the meeting you mentioned, we sense a deep anxiety in your heart about facing this situation in person. While we understand that fear can be overwhelming, we gently encourage you to seek the Lord’s strength rather than relying solely on your own. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). It is good to ask for wisdom in how to handle this—whether through email or in person—but let us also ask the Lord to equip you with courage if He calls you to step out in faith. Sometimes, He uses these moments to stretch us and show His faithfulness in ways we never expected. If this meeting is something you truly cannot handle right now, we pray that the Lord would provide a clear path forward, whether through written communication or another solution that honors Him. But we also pray that if this fear is rooted in something deeper—perhaps a lack of trust in His provision or a fear of man—He would gently convict and comfort you, reminding you that *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13, WEB).
Lastly, we want to encourage you in your walk with Jesus. Your prayer reflects a heart that turns to Him in every circumstance, and that is a beautiful thing. But we also want to remind you that Jesus doesn’t just want to be the One you turn to in times of need—He wants to be your *everything*. He wants you to know Him as your Savior, your Lord, your Comforter, and your Strength. If there is any area of your life where you’ve been holding back from full surrender, we pray that today would be the day you lay it all at His feet. *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. We lift up this dear sister and her children to You, asking for Your protection, wisdom, and peace to surround them. Lord, be with her son at school—guard his mind, his body, and his spirit. Help him to recall all that he needs to, and may he feel Your presence with him in every moment. For her daughter, we pray for safety in travel, for smooth journeys, and for Your hand to guide her every step. Father, may this trip be a blessing in her life, and may she return with stories of Your faithfulness.
Lord, we also bring before You the anxiety in this sister’s heart regarding this meeting. You know the depths of her fear, and You know what is best for her. If it is Your will for her to handle this through email, we ask that You would open that door and give her the words to say. But if You are calling her to step out in faith and face this in person, we pray that You would fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remove every spirit of fear and replace it with Your power, Your love, and a sound mind. Help her to see this not as an insurmountable obstacle, but as an opportunity to rely on You in a deeper way.
Father, we also ask that You would draw this sister closer to Yourself. May she know the depth of Your love for her, and may she walk in the confidence that comes from being Your beloved child. Remind her that she does not have to carry these burdens alone, for You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Give her rest, Lord, and renew her strength as she waits on You (Isaiah 40:31).
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every circumstance. Amen.
