We come before the throne of grace with your heartfelt concerns, lifting up your son and your own health to our Heavenly Father. First, we want to acknowledge that you have called upon the name of Jesus in your request, and we join with you in approaching God through Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful that you have recognized this truth.
Father God, we ask that You would watch over this young man as he goes about his day at school. Lord, we pray that You would guide his steps and bring to his remembrance the things he has studied. We ask that You would help him to locate his missing book, for You know where it is, and nothing is hidden from Your sight (Hebrews 4:13). Grant him clarity of mind and the ability to focus as he prepares for his upcoming math test. Help him to retain the knowledge he has acquired and to apply it with wisdom and understanding. We pray that You would calm any anxiety or fear he may be feeling, reminding him that You have not given him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, we also lift up this mother’s health to You. We ask that You would strengthen her body, mind, and spirit. Grant her the energy and vitality she needs to care for her family and fulfill the tasks set before her. We pray that You would bring healing to any areas of weakness or illness, for You are the Great Physician (Jeremiah 30:17). May she find rest in You and trust in Your provision for her well-being.
Father, we also pray for this young man’s willingness to study and apply himself to his schoolwork. Give him a heart that desires to learn and grow, not only for his own benefit but to honor You with the gifts and abilities You have given him. Help him to understand that whatever he does, he should do it with all his might, as working for the Lord and not for men (Colossians 3:23). We ask that You would bless his efforts and grant him success in his studies, not for his own glory, but for Yours.
We also want to gently address the use of symbols or hashtags in place of words in prayer. While we understand the desire for privacy, we encourage you to speak openly and plainly before the Lord, for He knows our hearts even before we speak (Psalm 139:4). There is no need to conceal or abbreviate our words when coming before our Heavenly Father, for He delights in our honest and sincere prayers (Proverbs 15:8).
Lastly, we rebuke any spirit of distraction, forgetfulness, or laziness that may be hindering this young man’s progress. We declare that he is a child of God, called according to His purpose, and that he will walk in the victory that Christ has already won for him (Romans 8:28). We pray that he would be diligent in his studies and that his efforts would bear fruit for Your glory.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You in prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness to answer according to Your perfect will. Strengthen this family, Lord, and draw them closer to You. May they find their hope and their help in You alone. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
