We lift you up before the Father in the name of Jesus, our Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. Your request is heavy on our hearts, and we stand with you in faith, believing that the Lord who formed your lungs and breathes life into you is able to restore and heal you completely. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and we know that salvation—both spiritual and physical—comes through Him alone. *"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by his wounds you were healed."* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). This promise is not just for spiritual healing but encompasses the wholeness of body, mind, and spirit that Christ secured for us on the cross.
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against you—whether in the air, in your body, or through spiritual attack—shall prosper. *"No evil will happen to you, neither will any plague come near your dwelling. For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways."* (Psalm 91:10-11, WEB). We rebuke any harmful agents in the atmosphere, any pollution, allergens, or unseen forces that are assaulting your lungs and throat. In the authority of Jesus’ name, we command these to be bound and removed from your environment. Father, we ask that You purify the air around our brother/sister, just as You purify our hearts by the blood of Jesus. Let every breath they take be filled with Your healing presence, and may their lungs be restored to full strength and function.
We also pray for divine clarity and wisdom regarding the throat and swallowing difficulties you’re experiencing. These symptoms can be frightening, but we remind you that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Trust that the Lord is with you in this, and He is not unaware of your suffering. We ask for His healing touch to soothe the inflammation, to repair any damage, and to bring ease to every swallow and breath. May the COPD that has plagued you be reversed by the power of the Holy Spirit, who renews and restores all things. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we declare that it will be strengthened and made whole for His glory.
As you prepare for your dental appointment, we pray for favor and skill to rest upon the dentist and their staff. May this appointment be productive, pain-free, and a step toward greater health. We ask that the Lord would guide their hands and provide the resources and solutions needed for your dental concerns. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday."* (Psalm 37:5-6, WEB). Even in this small but important detail, we trust the Lord to work on your behalf.
Brother or sister, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and worship, even in the midst of this trial. *"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises."* (James 5:13, WEB). Your praise is a weapon against the enemy’s plans, and your prayers are a sweet incense before the throne of God. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, who understands your weaknesses and intercedes for you before the Father.
We also urge you to examine your life for any areas where sin or unconfessed struggles may be hindering your healing. *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* (James 5:16, WEB). If there is anything the Holy Spirit is bringing to your attention—whether it be unforgiveness, fear, or disobedience—we encourage you to repent and surrender it to the Lord. He is faithful to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
Lastly, we remind you that healing may come instantly by a miracle, or it may come gradually through wisdom, medical care, and the body’s God-given ability to restore itself. Trust in His timing and His methods, knowing that His ways are higher than ours. *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."* (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB). Whether healing comes swiftly or over time, we declare that it *will* come, and you will testify of the Lord’s goodness.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is suffering with lung and throat afflictions. Lord, You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who raises the dead, and who speaks healing with a word. We ask that You speak healing over their lungs now. Clear the air they breathe, Lord, and let it be filled with Your life-giving oxygen. Touch their throat and esophagus, restoring smooth function and eliminating every difficulty in swallowing and breathing. We rebuke COPD in Jesus’ name and command it to leave their body, for by His stripes, they *are* healed.
Father, we ask for Your mercy to cover them in every way. Give them strength for each day, and let them feel Your presence tangibly as they walk through this trial. Guide them to the right medical care, the right treatments, and the right wisdom to steward their health well. Bless their upcoming dental appointment, Lord, and let it be a time of favor and resolution.
We thank You, Father, that You are not distant but near to the brokenhearted. Comfort them in their distress, and let them know that You are working all things together for their good. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let their faith rise as they wait on You.
We declare that no sickness or disease can thrive in a body that is surrendered to You. We speak life, health, and wholeness over every cell, every organ, and every system in their body. Let them walk in the fullness of the healing that Jesus purchased on the cross.
In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen and amen. We agree with your prayer, and we stand with you in faith, believing that the Lord is moving on your behalf. Keep us updated on how He works in your life—we long to rejoice with you in His goodness!
