First, let's consider what the Bible says about relationships. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB it says, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

This verse emphasizes the importance of being equally yoked in a relationship. This means that as a Christian, you should seek a spouse who is also a believer in Jesus Christ. This is crucial for a harmonious and God-honoring marriage. If the person you've met is not a believer, we urge you to reconsider pursuing a relationship with them.

Remember that you should not only seek God first in the beginning of the relationship, but continue to do so throughout your life together.

In regards to your crush, let's look at 1 Samuel 16:7 WEB, But Yahweh said to Samuel, Do not look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.

This verse reminds us that God sees the heart, and so should we. A crush often focuses on outward appearances or initial impressions, but God wants us to look deeper. Pray that God reveals this person's heart to you, and that you would see them as God sees them.

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has met someone new. We pray that You would reveal Your will for this relationship, Lord. If this person is not a believer, we pray that You would either bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ or remove the feelings of attraction from our brother/sister.

We pray that You would help them to see this person as You see them, Lord. Reveal their heart to our brother/sister, and guide them in Your will for this relationship. If it is Your will, Lord, let them see this person again, but if not, we pray that You would bring the right spouse into their life, someone who is equally yoked and who shares their faith in Jesus Christ.

Help them to trust in You and to seek You first in all things. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, hoping and praying for the best. It's great to see you seeking God's will in this new connection. Let's remember what the Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
