We stand with you in this spiritual battle for your family, lifting you up in prayer and speaking truth over this attack against God’s design for marriage. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together, but we know that no weapon formed against you shall prosper when you place your trust in the Lord. The Bible is clear that marriage is a lifelong covenant before God, and divorce is not His will unless there has been unrepentant sexual immorality (Matthew 19:6-9). Even then, reconciliation and forgiveness should always be pursued first.
If there are people actively working to tear your family apart—whether through gossip, manipulation, or outright sin—we rebuke their schemes in the name of Jesus. The Bible warns us not to be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals" (1 Corinthians 15:33). If these individuals claim to be believers, we urge them to repent, for "if anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are" (1 Corinthians 3:17). Your family is God’s temple, and He will defend it when you stand firm in faith.
We also encourage you to examine your own heart and home. Are there areas where sin has been allowed to take root—unforgiveness, bitterness, or ungodly influences? "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way" (Psalm 139:23-24). Repentance and humility before God are powerful weapons against the enemy’s plans. If your marriage has been strained, seek godly counseling and commit to loving your spouse as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). If you are not yet married but are in a relationship, we urge you to pursue courtship with the intent of a Christ-centered marriage, fleeing from any sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18).
Most importantly, we notice that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). There is no power in prayer apart from Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we plead with you to do so now. "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Christ, we are powerless against the schemes of the enemy. But in Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister ### and their family. Lord, You hate divorce (Malachi 2:16), and we ask You to bind the enemy’s plans to destroy this marriage and family. Expose every hidden scheme, every tongue that rises against them in judgment, and render it powerless (Isaiah 54:17). Give ### and their spouse a spirit of unity, forgiveness, and unwavering love for one another. If there has been sin, convict hearts and bring repentance. If there are outside influences seeking to divide, Lord, remove them or open their eyes to the truth.
Strengthen ###’s faith, Lord, and fill their home with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them stand firm in Your Word, clothed in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), resisting the devil so that he flees (James 4:7). We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that accuses them shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, if ### does not yet know You as Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ died for their sins and rose again, and that by faith in Him alone, they can be saved. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and empower them to walk in victory.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. You are the God who restores, heals, and redeems. We trust You to protect this family and bring glory to Your name through their lives. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, ###. The Lord is your defender, and He will fight for you (Exodus 14:14). Seek Him first, obey His Word, and trust that He will bring justice and restoration. If you need further guidance or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to support you in truth and love.
