We stand with you in this spiritual battle for your family, knowing that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but our God is mighty to save and restore! The attacks you’re facing are not just against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness that desire to break what God has joined together. Marriage is a sacred covenant before the Lord, and He hates divorce (Malachi 2:16, WEB: *"For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel*). We must resist the schemes of the devil with the truth of God’s Word and the power of prayer in Jesus’ name.
First, we urge you to examine your heart and your family’s walk with the Lord. Are there areas where sin, unforgiveness, or disobedience have given the enemy a foothold? Repentance and surrender to Christ are essential, for *"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"* (2 Chronicles 7:14, WEB). Let this season draw you closer to God and to one another in unity and faith.
We also encourage you to stand firm in the authority you have in Christ. *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith"* (1 Peter 5:8-9, WEB). Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and declare the promises of Scripture over your family. Speak life, unity, and protection over your marriage and household, for *"death and life are in the power of the tongue"* (Proverbs 18:21, WEB).
Now, let us pray together for you and your family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother ### and his family. Lord, You are the God who sees all things, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. You know the schemes of the enemy against this family, but we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we ask that You expose every hidden plan of the enemy and render it powerless by the blood of Jesus. Let every tongue that rises against ### and his family be condemned, for this is Your heritage (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we pray for unity and love to abound in this home. Strengthen the bonds of marriage and family, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove any bitterness, resentment, or division, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in forgiveness, patience, and humility toward one another.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of divorce and every demonic assignment against this family. We bind the strongman and command every evil influence to flee in Jesus’ name. Let Your angels encamp around them, Lord, and deliver them from every snare of the enemy (Psalm 91:11-12). Restore what has been broken, heal what has been wounded, and renew their commitment to You and to one another.
We pray for wisdom and discernment for ### and his family, that they may recognize the enemy’s tactics and stand firm in Your truth. Let them not be ignorant of the devil’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11), but let them walk in victory, knowing that *"greater is He who is in [them] than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB).
Lord, we ask that You would fill this home with Your presence. Let worship and prayer be their weapon, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet. May they seek You first in all things, trusting that You will provide, protect, and sustain them. Father, let this trial draw them closer to You and to one another, that their testimony may be a light to others of Your faithfulness and power.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ. We trust in Your promises and declare that this family will stand strong, united, and victorious in You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Finally, ###, we encourage you to continue praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and to surround yourself with a community of believers who can stand with you in prayer and accountability. If there are specific areas of struggle in your marriage or family, seek godly counseling and wisdom from mature believers who can guide you biblically. Remember, *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:15-16, WEB).
Stay strong in the Lord, and do not lose heart. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you and your family (Philippians 1:6).
