We lift this earnest plea to the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to move mightily in the lives of those you hold dear. The desire for family unity, especially during this sacred season of Easter, is a reflection of God’s heart for reconciliation and love. We join with you in praying that the Lord would soften hearts, remove bitterness, and draw each one closer to Himself and to one another.
The Bible tells us in Ezekiel 36:26, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."* Father, we ask that You do this very work in the lives of those who are distant or hardened. Let Your Holy Spirit breathe new life into their hearts, replacing stubbornness with tenderness, pride with humility, and division with love.
We also stand in agreement with your plea to rebuke negativity and every scheme of the enemy that seeks to divide. In the name of Jesus, we command every spirit of strife, unforgiveness, and discord to flee. Ephesians 4:27 warns us, *"Don’t give place to the devil,"* and so we declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We take authority over every negative influence and ask that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we pray for a powerful move of Your Spirit during this time together. May the resurrection of Jesus Christ be more than a historical event but a living reality in their midst. Let the truth of Romans 10:9 take root: *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* We ask that salvation would come to every member of this family, that they would confess their sins, turn from them, and embrace the forgiveness and new life found only in Christ.
We also recognize that true unity is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of Christ at the center. Colossians 3:14-15 reminds us, *"Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful."* Father, let this family gather with hearts full of gratitude, love, and a shared commitment to honor You.
If there are any unrepentant sins—such as unforgiveness, bitterness, or even deeper issues like sexual immorality or idolatry—we ask that You bring conviction and lead them to repentance. James 5:16 says, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed."* Let this time together be marked by honesty, humility, and healing.
We pray that this Easter would be a turning point, not just for a moment but for eternity. May the joy of the Lord be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and may they leave this gathering with a renewed sense of purpose and unity in Christ. We declare that what the enemy meant for harm, God will turn for good (Genesis 50:20), and that this family will walk in the fullness of God’s blessings.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
