“Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy” (John 16:20).

“Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days” (Psalm 90:14).

Prayer: Lord, don’t let self-pity and anger rob me of intimacy with Jesus and destroy my joy.
