A little while ago, my daughter and I were talking about my sister, about how hard Friday was for everyone, when she was telling us all goodbye, about me making her promise to hold on for another day. My cell made a "ping" noise, meaning I had received a picture. I opened it up and it was a picture of my sister, in her hospital bed, smiling at me. I cried then, I am crying now, I have not seen such a beautiful picture in a long long time.
My aunt thanked me for making her promise to not let go and go Home Friday - she's gotten stronger and her doctor is reassessing her diagnosis. She's smiling. Talking still about going home, but "home", not "Home".
Thank You, Father.
