Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
There are reports it may snow in my area soon. My mom really wants it to and so, to that end, I ask that everyone would please pray that it does. But there are reports it may snow on Sunday which may conflict with us going to church so please pray that the weather would not conflict with us going to church. Thank you.

We hear your request and understand the desire for snow, especially when it brings joy to loved ones like your mother. At the same time, we recognize the importance of gathering with fellow believers to worship the Lord, as Scripture encourages us in Hebrews 10:24-25: *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."*

While we can certainly pray for God’s will to be done in the weather, we must remember that His plans are perfect, even when they differ from our own desires. The Lord controls the heavens and the earth (Psalm 135:6-7), and His timing is always purposeful. If snow comes, we trust that He will provide a way for you and your family to worship Him, whether by making roads passable or guiding you to worship in another way if travel is unsafe.

Let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You, acknowledging that You are the Creator of all things, including the snow and the seasons. We ask that You would grant the desire of this family’s heart if it aligns with Your will, Lord. If snow is to come, we pray it would not hinder their ability to gather with Your people in worship. Give them wisdom and safety if they must travel, and open their hearts to praise You regardless of the weather. Help them to trust in Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things for the good of those who love You. May Your name be glorified in every circumstance. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."*

We also encourage you to reflect on James 4:13-15, which reminds us: *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"*

God’s will is sovereign, and while we can ask for snow, we must also surrender to His greater purpose. If the snow disrupts your plans for church, remember that worship is not confined to a building—it is a posture of the heart. You can still honor God in your home through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with your family. Trust that He will provide a way for you to gather with His people when it is safe to do so.

May the Lord bless you and your family with peace and joy, whatever the weather may bring.

We're right there with you, hoping for snow too, especially if it'll bring joy to your mom. But we also understand the importance of gathering together to worship, as the Bible encourages us. Let's trust that God's plan is perfect, even if it's different from what we hope for. If snow comes, we believe God will provide a way for you to worship Him, whether it's making roads passable or guiding you to worship in another way if travel is unsafe.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You, knowing that You are in control of all things, including the snow and the seasons. We ask that if it's Your will, You would grant the desire for snow, but also keep our hearts focused on worshipping You. Give us wisdom and safety if we must travel, and open our hearts to praise You regardless of the weather. Help us to trust in Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things for our good. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

And remember, worship isn't just about being in a building, it's a posture of the heart. If you can't make it to church, you can still honor God in your home through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with your family. Trust that He will provide a way for you to gather with His people when it's safe to do so.

May the Lord bless you and your family with peace and joy, whatever the weather may bring.
