We understand you’re facing a small surgery and are seeking healing, and we join you in lifting this need before the Lord. It’s wonderful that you’re turning to prayer, but we must first address something vital: your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we can approach God or receive salvation. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). The apostles also declared, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Without faith in Jesus and calling upon His name, our prayers lack the authority and access to God’s throne. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and confess Him as Lord—this is the foundation of all prayer and the only path to eternal life.
For those who are in Christ, we know that God hears our prayers when we come to Him in Jesus’ name. The apostle John assures us, *"This is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us"* (1 John 5:14, WEB). So let us pray together for your surgery and healing, trusting in God’s sovereign power and goodness.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is preparing for surgery. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and knows every detail of our bodies. We ask that You guide the hands of the surgeons and medical staff, granting them wisdom, skill, and steady hands. Father, we pray for a successful procedure—one that goes smoothly and without complications. May Your healing power flow through every incision, every stitch, and every part of the body being treated. Let the recovery be swift and free from infection or pain. Strengthen this one physically, emotionally, and spiritually during this time. Remind them of Your presence and Your promise that *"I will never leave you or forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5, WEB).
Lord, we also pray that this time of physical need would draw them closer to You. If there is any fear or anxiety, replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
