We’re so thankful with you for those five and a half hours of real rest, what a mercy! It’s easy to overlook something so daily, but we see in your joy how precious this gift is, and we celebrate it as a small yet powerful touch from Jehovah Rapha. Your posture of gratitude, even while still waiting for big provisions, is a quiet strength that honors Him.

As you continue to stand on His promises for the phone service, housing, travel funds, and your friend’s account, we want you to know we’re standing with you. Those needs matter deeply, and He sees them. Your patient waiting isn’t passive; it’s faith in action, and we believe He is already at work behind the scenes. In the meantime, may He keep giving you the rest your body needs, and may each night’s sleep become another small reminder that you are held.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for this good night’s sleep and for the hope You’re building in our sister. It is no small thing to receive a night of slumber from Jehovah Rapha, for every good and perfect gift descends from the Father of lights. You do well to magnify Him for five hours of rest where once you had but three, this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. He does not despise the day of small things, and His mercy shines brightest when we trace His hand in the quiet mercies others might overlook. Wait upon Him still, for He who has given you sleep will not slumber in your other needs. His heart yearns toward His waiting people; He is a God ready to pardon and to bless, and His patience toward you is not in vain.

Stand upon His promises with that courage which hangs upon nothing but the promise itself. Your petitions for phone service, housing, travel funds, and your friend’s request, these are known to Him who painted every flower and guides the paths of the sea. Cast this care entirely upon Him, for the silver and the gold are His, and He can supply a thousand pounds as easily as a penny. But let your soul be anchored in Christ, not in the uncertain tides of circumstance. Humble yourselves under His mighty hand, and in due season He will lift you up. Waiting upon God is the way to renew your strength, until you mount up with wings as eagles and leave the fretful world below.

Your friend’s need, whatever may be bound up in that request, the Lord sees and knows. Pray for them, plead their cause at the mercy seat, but do not tangle with the world’s entanglements. The God of our salvation is a consuming fire to pride and sin, yet tender to the contrite. To God be all the glory, through Christ our Lord. Amen and amen.

Small beginnings are not to be despised. Consider how the star that appeared to the wise men led them as far as Palestine, then hid itself; but after they had left Herod, it showed itself again. It had no course of its own, but when they were to move, it moved; when to stand, it stood, dispensing all as need required. So does the Lord deal with us, granting what is needful in its time. You have received mercy in a night's slumber, and this is no small thing, for the present life itself is a sleep and the things in it no different from dreams.

Be confident, then, and yet in fear: in fear because of the precipices on either side, confident because Jesus is our guide. He who glorified the Son in overcoming death is able to do greater things still. Make provision for the flesh, but only for health and not to fulfill its lusts; spend all your industry on spiritual things, and let lesser cares follow after. Knowing the devil's craft, remain sober and wakeful, for though one slumber but a little while, he is swept away quickly. Continue waiting on the Lord for your housing and provision. He who granted you rest will not forsake you in your other needs, but will supply as it seems best to His wisdom.

No request of ours is too small to bring before the Lord who clothes the lilies and numbers the hairs of our head. What you call a small beginning is actually a profound testimony: Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals, gave you hours of genuine rest. Five and a half hours of sleep may feel modest to someone else, but when your body has long been limited to three or four broken hours, this is a direct touch from His hand. Do not despise the day of small things, for the same God who brought the manna each morning is perfectly able to care for your body through the night. He is not watching you from a distance; He is near.

He is also able to supply every need according to His riches in glory. You are standing on His promises for your housing, your phone service, your travel funds, and for the needs of your friend. That is exactly where you should be standing. The Lord does not need us to panic or resort to frantic schemes to fund His work or to provide for His people. We do not serve a God who is on the verge of bankruptcy, requiring us to manipulate or coerce. The One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills simply calls His people to bring what they have with a willing heart. And He often gives so extravagantly that the supply exceeds the need, leaving no doubt about the source. So you wait patiently, expecting and anticipating, and that is right. Your posture is not passive begging; it is active, confident faith in a Father who knows what you need before you ask.

Let your waiting be filled with the same genuine gratitude you have shown. True service and worship flow from a sober, joyful heart, not one propped up by artificial stimulants or hollow religious hype. What a contrast it is when we simply bring our petitions before Him, filled with the Spirit, rather than trying to whip up emotion or pressure. The joy of the Lord is your strength, and a peaceful, rested spirit can hear His voice more clearly. He is making provision to work in your situation, exactly as He desires. Even in the law, God left room for Himself to do the miraculous, to heal the incurable, to provide in ways that defied human explanation. He has not put Himself in a box, and neither should we. Your sleep was a quiet miracle. The provision you are awaiting will be another, in His perfect timing.

Keep your consecration fresh, not just for what you will receive, but for the life of service you are offering back to Him. Your request is not a transaction; it is part of a life laid down. He does not forget the labor of love. So rest again tonight, trusting that while you sleep, He is actively working on the details you have entrusted to Him. May the peace that passes understanding guard your heart and mind, and may you soon see the tangible answers that cause you to say once more, "To God be the glory through Christ my Lord."
