Disciple of Prayer
Sometimes when I’m alone and not sleeping next to my boyfriend, I have sleep paralysis or they’ll be spiritual attacks. Sometimes it’s an incubus. I’m just asking if a prayer can be done for it to never come back and for me to always have peaceful dreams and sleep, whether to my boyfriend or alone. I just want to rest peacefully knowing that I am safe everywhere I go as well, and not to look over my shoulder in my home. So I’d like to ask for a prayer for when I sleep at night, and my boyfriend happens to not be by me, I’ll still have good dreams. I’ll have sleep, paralysis or incubus trying to mess with me. Also like a prayer for when I’m alone in my apartment that I don’t feel anything around me besides Jesus' presence and a prayer so I don’t feel scared to be alone. Thank you.

We understand your distress, and we want to lift you up in prayer while also addressing some important biblical truths for your protection and peace. First, we must lovingly but firmly address the fact that you are living with and sleeping with your boyfriend outside of marriage. This is fornication, which the Bible clearly warns against. Scripture tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Living together before marriage is not God’s design, and it opens the door to spiritual attacks, fear, and bondage—exactly what you are experiencing.

The enemy preys on those who are outside of God’s will, and your current living situation provides him with a foothold. We strongly urge you to repent and align your relationship with biblical principles. If marriage is your goal, then pursue it honorably, or if you are not ready for marriage, separate and commit to purity. Ephesians 5:3 says, *"But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints."* God’s way is always for our protection and blessing. The fear, sleep paralysis, and spiritual attacks you are experiencing are signs that you are not walking in full obedience to Him.

Now, regarding the spiritual attacks, incubus, and fear—these are real manifestations of demonic oppression, but they have no authority over those who are in Christ. James 4:7 tells us, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* However, resistance must be coupled with obedience. If we are living in known sin, we give the enemy legal ground to torment us. That is why repentance and submission to God’s Word are critical first steps.

You also mentioned that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, which is the only name by which we can approach the Father and receive salvation and protection. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Jesus is the only way to true peace and authority over the enemy. If you have not fully surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*

Let us pray for you now, covering you in the authority of Jesus’ name and asking for His deliverance, peace, and conviction where needed.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is struggling with fear, spiritual attacks, and the torment of sleep paralysis and demonic oppression. Lord, we ask that You open her eyes to the truth of Your Word and convict her heart regarding the sin of fornication. Father, Your design for relationships is holy and pure, and we pray that she would repent and turn away from this sin, seeking Your forgiveness and restoration. If marriage is Your will for her and her boyfriend, we pray that You would lead them to it quickly and honorably. If not, give her the strength to separate and walk in purity.

Lord, we rebuke every demonic spirit assigned against her—every spirit of fear, torment, incubus, and sleep paralysis—in the name of Jesus. These spirits have no authority over her, for she belongs to You. We command them to flee and never return, for greater is He who is in her than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Father, fill her home with Your presence and let her feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let her sleep be deep and restful, free from nightmares or attacks, for You neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4). Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let her know that she is safe in You alone.

Father, we also pray that she would grow in her relationship with You, that her faith would be strengthened, and that she would walk in the fullness of Your protection. Let her not fear being alone, for You are with her always (Matthew 28:20). Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and let His presence be her comfort and shield.

We ask all this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to take immediate steps to align your life with Scripture. Confess any sin to God, ask for His forgiveness, and make changes to honor Him in your relationship. Read Psalm 91 daily and declare it over your life—it is a powerful psalm of protection for those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High. Also, fill your home with worship music and the reading of God’s Word to create an atmosphere where the enemy cannot thrive.

If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we urge you to find one where you can grow in your faith and receive support and accountability. You do not have to walk in fear or bondage—Jesus came to set you free (John 8:36). Walk in that freedom by submitting to His lordship in every area of your life. We are praying for you and believe that God will bring you into a place of peace, protection, and obedience as you seek Him wholeheartedly.

We're here with you, and we want to pray for your peace and safety. We understand that you're feeling scared and vulnerable, and we're sorry that you've been experiencing these terrifying incidents. We want to assure you that you are not alone, and we're here to support you.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, no matter where you are or what you're going through. In Psalm 34:7, it says, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them." God has promised to send His angels to protect and guide us. So, even when you're alone in your apartment, remember that you're never truly alone. God is always there, and He has an army of angels ready to defend you.

Now, let's talk about the spiritual attacks you've been experiencing. We believe that these attacks are real, and they can be scary, but we also know that they have no power over you if you're walking in obedience to God. In Ephesians 6:11-12, we're told to "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

To stand against these attacks, you need to put on the armor of God. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. When you're dressed in this armor, you're ready to face any attack that comes your way.

We also want to encourage you to fill your home with worship music and the reading of God's Word. This creates an atmosphere where the enemy cannot thrive. When you're worshipping God and meditating on His Word, you're inviting His presence into your home, and that's a place where the enemy cannot go.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God loves you deeply, and He wants the best for you. He has a plan and a purpose for your life, and He wants you to live in peace and joy. Trust in Him, and know that He is working everything out for your good (Romans 8:28).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, asking for Your protection and peace for our sister. Lord, we ask that You would fill her home with Your presence, and that she would feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that You would rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and sleep paralysis in Jesus' name. We claim the blood of Jesus over her life, and we ask that You would fill her with Your Holy Spirit. Help her to trust in You, and to walk in obedience to Your Word. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
