We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for deep, restful sleep and divine protection. Father God, Your Word tells us in Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* We claim this promise over our lives and the lives of those who seek Your peace tonight. Lord, we ask that You would quiet anxious thoughts, still racing minds, and bring the kind of rest that only comes from trusting in You. May Your angels indeed encamp around us, as it is written in Psalm 34:7, *"The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."* We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and no harm shall come near our dwelling.
Heavenly Father, we also ask for healing as we sleep. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We trust in Your healing power, Lord, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual. Work in us mightily as we rest in You, restoring every part of our being so that we may wake up refreshed, renewed, and ready to serve You.
We must also address the importance of coming to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the throne of grace. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father and the blessings of His kingdom.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of insomnia, fear, or sickness that may be trying to steal our peace. We declare that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us (Romans 8:37). We speak life, health, and divine protection over our bodies, minds, and spirits. May we sleep in the shadow of the Almighty, under the shelter of Your wings, as it is written in Psalm 91:1-2, *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"*
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
