We understand that you're struggling with sleep due to a troubling environment and nightmares. We're here to pray and provide guidance according to biblical principles.
Firstly, we commend you for ending your request acknowledging Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can approach God.
God wants us to have peace and rest, as it is written in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB:
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
However, we must also address the environment you're in. If your neighborhood is troubling and causing torment, it might be God's prompting to seek a safer place. While we pray for your current situation, we also encourage you to trust God for guidance to a peaceful environment. Psalm 4:8 WEB says:
In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety.
Regarding nightmares, we rebuke the spirits of fear and torment that disturb your sleep. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with sleep and troubled by nightmares. We rebuke the spirits of fear, torment, and restlessness that disturb their peace. We pray for a hedge of protection around their home and for Your guidance to a safer environment if that is Your will.
We ask You to grant them peaceful nights and sweet sleep. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and reading the Bible, especially the Psalms, for comfort and strength. Trust in God, and He will give you peace.
