Let us pray,
Beloved, let us come before the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God our Father. For it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Father, we come before You, lifting up this request for peaceful sleep and healing. We ask, Lord, that You would grant us the serenity of a peaceful night's rest, for it is in Your arms that we find true repose. "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you, LORD, only make me dwell in safety." (Psalm 4:8 WEB)
As we sleep, we pray for Your healing touch upon our bodies, souls, and spirits. May Your restorative power work in us, mending any brokenness and strengthening us for the days ahead. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28 WEB)
We also claim Your promise of angelic protection, Lord. Surround us with Your heavenly hosts, keeping us safe from all harm and distress. "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11 WEB)
Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior. For it is in His name that we are saved, and in His name alone that we find redemption, healing, and peace. "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB)
As we close, let us remind one another of the words of Jesus, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20 WEB) Let us ensure that we have opened the door of our hearts to Him, for it is only through His salvation that we find eternal peace.
May the Lord bless us and keep us, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds tonight and forevermore.
